06/08/2025: A pearl at the foot of Gran Paradiso: cuisine, views, and a memorable welcome
We visited this restaurant during a weekend in Cogne, and the experience was simply perfect. The location is unique: nestled in the Gran Paradiso National Park, with a breathtaking view of the peaks. The location alone is worth a visit, but there's so much more.
The large, private parking is a priceless convenience, especially for those traveling with family. We dined outside, enjoying the view and the fresh mountain air, but the classic Aosta Valley-style interior is also warm and welcoming.
The cuisine is authentic, traditional Cogne, and it shows. From appetizers to first courses to second courses, each dish was a dive into the gastronomic history of the Aosta Valley, prepared with care and using quality ingredients. The dessert? The famous Crema di Cogne, simply superb.
Special praise for the service: despite the restaurant being full, the staff was always attentive, precise, and present, but never intrusive. We felt truly pampered.
And the final surprise? The bill: accustomed to the often high prices of the Aosta Valley, we were pleasantly surprised. Excellent value, especially considering the level of experience.
Highly recommended for couples, families, or groups of friends. A must-see for anyone who wants to truly experience the Aosta Valley, with taste.
06/08/2025: A wonderful experience, nestled in the valley meadows. Exceptional food, exceptional Valdostana polenta, excellent meats.
What really struck us, however, was the courtesy and kindness of the service, especially Agata, whose smile warmed our hearts.
