Yesterday I celebrated my birthday and asked a friend to recommend a refined place where we could eat well. She suggested Ottava Nota.
As soon as we arrived, we immediately knew this restaurant was exactly what we were looking for: a very elegant and refined location. Our expectations were far exceeded.
The staff was impeccable: each dish was presented and explained in detail, detailing the ingredients and their characteristics. Furthermore, as soon as the glasses were empty, they were promptly refilled. A level of customer service that, honestly, we hadn't found elsewhere.
The kindness was surprising, both from the staff and especially from the owner: a blonde, gracious, friendly, and always available lady—truly the best.
Another aspect that struck us was the portions: we expected small dishes, as often happens in gourmet cuisine, but instead they were generous. So much so that I couldn't finish the second course.
The welcome was excellent: we were offered a delicious appetizer at the beginning of the evening, and to conclude, we were served delicious desserts, also complimentary, as a final farewell.
We also chose a truly exquisite tiramisu, on which they placed a candle and wrote "Happy Birthday" on the edge of the plate.
We were so satisfied that we will definitely return.

A lovely restaurant, visited for a couple's dinner. We ate outside on a lovely terrace with a great atmosphere. The food was excellent, with many creative dishes, all well-executed. The wine list was lovely, with a sommelier who was able to guide us to an excellent selection. The service was impeccable and very courteous. 10/10

This was the first Michelin Guide restaurant I visited during my trip to Italy, and it was on my birthday. Even though I was alone, the staff was so friendly and explained everything to me thoroughly. The food was delicious, and the foie gras, in particular, was truly one of the best I've ever had.

For years, one of the best restaurants in Palermo—or, I'd say, Sicily—where tradition blends with influences from a variety of cuisines, but always with respect for the raw ingredients. Chef Farina's Sicily features Spanish, French, a touch of Japan, and even South America, all beautifully balanced. An extensive wine list and the option of a full tasting menu, or even a vegetarian one, with top-notch wine pairings. Probably my favorite restaurant ever, no offense to Michelin-starred or otherwise. 😉

The tuna steak was wow, soft inside and with that little crust outside, really tasty, maybe even too good because I was thinking about it the whole evening. The pasta with prawns on the other side was also super fresh, smelled like sea, I even stole a fork from my friend. Service was good, the waiter was calm, explained slowly, like he had all the time, he even showed the wine bottle like in a movie. Prices… not cheap, I mean you feel it, but then you look at the plate and it makes sense, more classy than the usual place. I noticed the tables were not squeezed, space to breathe, and music was quiet in the back, sometimes I almost forgot it was playing. I regret not trying dessert, they passed by our table with one that looked like a small piece of art, next time for sure.

Restaurant assez intimiste ( a priori une trentaine de couverts). Le service est attentionné sans etre obséquieux. Nous avons choisi de diner à la carte, car le menu proposé nous semblait trop conséquent. Les plats proposés étaient délicieux, depuis les mises en bouche jusqu'aux mignardises.
La carte des vins est étendue, mais les prix sont élevés . La sommelière a été de bon conseil.
Endroit donc à retenir pour un moment privilégié ( merci de l'attention concernant l'anniversaire de mon conjoint).

Es un gran lugar, con una excelente cocina, ingredientes cuidadosamente seleccionados, muchos sabores, maravillosas interpretaciones de diferentes platos, y un personal muy amable. Es un lugar excepcional en Palermo. Diez+ en una escala de 0 a 10. Lo recomiendo encarecidamente.
