My visit to Osteria Valenti, led by chef Marco Maffeis, was a culinary experience that exceeded all expectations, an authentic celebration of Bergamo tradition with a touch of contemporary mastery. The traditional roulade with polenta was a real revelation. Never before had I tasted something so balanced in flavor and consistency: true poetry for the palate. The Bergamo-style ravioli with bacon, butter, parmesan and sage was the dish that defined new standards. The delicacy of handmade pasta, combined with the flavor of bacon and the enveloping scent of sage, is an experience that will remain in your memory. If Dazi Milano excels in fish-based ravioli, Marco Maffeis' bacon ravioli far surpasses any meat ravioli I have ever tasted. The beef fillet in truffle and port sauce was a masterpiece. I had the pleasure of tasting very high quality Angus Aberdeen, but this course proved to be on par with the best cuts of fillet in the world. Each bite was a symphony of intense and refined flavors. The service was impeccable: the waiters stood out for their attention and competence, providing excellent advice on matching wines. No less important, the presence of chef Marco, who with great cordiality made sure to personally greet each guest, adding a warm and personal touch to the experience. In conclusion, Osteria Valenti is not just a restaurant, but a journey into the authentic flavors of Bergamo. An unforgettable experience that I recommend without hesitation.

We walked past Osteria Valenti di Marco Maffei by chance at lunchtime and decided to book a table for dinner. Absolutely no regrets. The food was excellent (the tiramisu the best we had in a week in Bergamo) and the service was unobtrusive but friendly and attentive.
