L'Osteria di Ianus In Antrodoco

A small and welcoming restaurant. The menu features traditional local dishes and reinterpretations, using local ingredients (such as pasta, homemade compotes, and much more). The wine list offers a selection of Lazio, Marche, and Abruzzo wines. There were four of us and we ordered three first courses, one appetizer, four second courses, and three desserts. Water and a bottle of white wine were also included. We spent about €38 per person. I highly recommend it.

Excellent cuisine, quality raw materials, highly recommended

We've been customers of Ianus since it opened, and the quality has always been top-notch. I'll forgo further descriptions; come and see for yourself. And remember, make a reservation. Ianus also sells its products and local specialties in a shop on the main street in Antrodoco. Additional review: given the restaurant's growing success and the number of people who turn down tables when it's busy (very often on weekends and especially around Christmas/New Year's Eve), I recommend booking a table.

I had lunch yesterday with three colleagues and discovered a wonderful place. The food was truly excellent, with generous portions and an overall top-notch quality (also helped by the limited seating). They're not just about food, but also about jams and wonderful liqueurs, all crafted with a long tradition. They're kind and know how to showcase the local area. A gem in Antrodoco you shouldn't miss.

Small but beautiful restaurant and a wonderful experience because I ate very well with fresh raw ingredients but with refined recipes. The only flaw is that you have to book well in advance otherwise you won't find a place but I assure you it's worth it.

Once you try it, you'll never leave! I visited this wonderful restaurant for the first time in January, then repeated the experience on Easter Monday and August 15th, and a week after my last visit I decided to leave a review. The reason is easy to explain: by doing so, I was also able to confirm that the quality of service has always been very high, not diminishing at all over time. Osteria di Ianus is the perfect combination of tradition and innovation, of refined, high-quality ingredients with quantity. The restaurant is not overly large and very welcoming, decorated in such a way as to convey the atmosphere of an old-fashioned tavern and the typical alley of a small village. The staff, chefs, and waiters are extremely kind and professional. The prices are absolutely reasonable for the service offered, especially considering the authenticity of the products used. For this year's Ferragosto experience (August 15, 2023), I'd almost let the photos speak for themselves; the thing that struck me most (without taking anything away from the rest, it's all about personal taste) were the ravioli with mortadella, burrata, and pistachio sauce... exceptional! The watermelon and lemon compote the waiter recommended was also a wonderful discovery; it was a combination of flavors I wasn't familiar with, but one that I've been happy to try at home ever since. In conclusion, would I recommend this place? Absolutely!

A small restaurant with a lovely atmosphere. Located in the center of town, where you can breathe in the mountain air. Excellent traditional dishes, such as Antrodoco ragù and cod with local chestnuts. The house red wine is excellent, and the appetizers are excellent. Some of the other entrees we ordered were a bit too rich, but they were very kind in addressing this small inconvenience.

This osteria is excellent. The food is good, from appetizer to dessert. Everything is delicious, even the wine by the glass is excellent. It's a quiet place, the staff are friendly and professional, and the prices are reasonable. There were two of us. From appetizer to dessert (only one dessert), we paid €65.
