Located in the heart of Fiumicino, L'Osteria dell'Orologio overlooks the canal where local fishing boats dock, offering a suggestive view and a welcoming atmosphere. Chef Marco Claroni, together with sommelier Gerarda Fine, expertly guides this restaurant mentioned in the MICHELIN Guide, offering creative and refined seafood cuisine.
During my visit, the dining experience was impeccable. The entrée elegantly introduced the gastronomic journey, while the grilled octopus, tender and tasty, enhanced the freshness of the local catch. All this was accompanied by an excellent champagne, carefully selected from the wine list. The service was attentive and friendly, and the small pastry served with coffee concluded the dinner on a sweet and refined note.
The Osteria dell'Orologio stands out for its attention to the quality of its ingredients and its ability to enhance local fish through innovative techniques, such as the artisanal production of bottarga and seafood cured meats. A gastronomic experience that deserves to be lived.

We have been going to this restaurant for years.
The quality is really high, as is the care given to every single course.
Definitely our point of reference in Fiumicino.
Well done guys!

I had been to the same place about 5 years ago and was positively impressed. Even more so, I am happy to be able to confirm the more than positive opinion. Indeed, I was able to notice a general improvement, the starters were incredible (raw and cooked), the first course was very good, not to be missed (tagliolini with sea fennel and various bottarga). The cellar is discreet and the price is correctly commensurate with what you choose and the raw material used. Well done.

Alice beccafico, cheese and egg pallotta and tuna and deli consommé
Whipped butter with anchovies and excellent bread. This is the entrée.
I really enjoyed the bread. For me it's a bit like a business card.
The acidic tones I found in the dishes I was subsequently served were not exciting. Octopus skewer (a miserable octopus tentacle for €22, the food cost needs to be reviewed, because here the math doesn't add up and neither do the quantities) and the Genoese plin, which in both cases were monotonous, with persistent acidity and a covering sauce. The fish was a side dish, not the main course. My palate did not like it, even though the dishes that were served to me were objectively well prepared and well presented. Persistent flavors of acidity, to the point that even with the fish I was served a giardiniera (suicidal pairing) even in the tuna consommé served as an entrée this accentuatedly acidic tone was present. It's fine if the sour note is intentional, but not in all dishes. The prices are above average and the quantity and quality are disproportionate to the price. Unsatisfactory quality fried fish
Not at all satisfied. Ate better in much less pretentious restaurants at half the price. I appreciated the bread but I think this is not enough to counterbalance my obvious doubts.
Combining acidic tones in fish-based dishes is like trying to neutralize the quality and freshness of the fish. In any case it must be used with discretion and caution. I'm sorry I spent my money and time recklessly. To forget. When my expectations aren't met I get really annoyed. Not to mention when dissatisfied I also have to pay.

Excellent food, we opted for a tasting menu and I must say that each of the dishes was to our liking. The place is certainly not the cheapest but it is at the level of a starred restaurant, perhaps it just needs to improve its service to aspire to those levels. The only note was a very noisy table of people inside, I think owners or friends of the owners, which was more like a restaurant than a gourmet one. However, an excellent experience and one to be repeated.

We went to the Osteria a few weeks ago.
The place is small and welcoming. We chose the ''all tuna'' tasting and were enchanted by it. Together with the tasting we asked for a wine pairing (which is not marked on the menu, leaving the customer not knowing how many glasses there will be and at what price). The wines surprised us, but it's a shame that they stopped at the third glass of the starter, making us pay the wine pairing in full at €65 and leaving us without wines for the first and second courses. I can hardly believe that the pairing was only 3 wines and all three on the starters.
The waiters were kind, even though they were overworked, but they left us the dishes without even explaining clearly what was on the plate or explaining it as they left in a hurry.
In short, excellent food but service and customer care a bit mediocre and not justifiable for the price range of the place.
