L'Oste del Re In Orvieto

We arrived at past 2pm without a reservation and they let us sit anyway since a table had fortunately become free. Without a reservation it is difficult to have lunch there. We took a simple mixed starter, accompanied by focaccia like bread, which was cold (it should be served hot, it was stringy) and 2 dishes of very good umbrichelli with white ragu. Fast service and fair prices.

Absolutely 5 stars and super recommended. Friendly, courteous staff, very polite and also friendly. Excellent food and a nice and welcoming place! If you are passing through, stop by... it will be 1000% worth it

Recommended informal environment, low prices

We tried this restaurant near the cathedral located on a Sunday for a short stop. Fast and kind service. Pretty good porchetta. Good amatriciana and wild boar umbrellas Decent house wine. Average prices for Orvieto.

Place located in Via del Duomo, not far from the center and the car park exit (which can be reached very easily either by escalators or by lift). The restaurant is made up of two rooms, one room when you enter, on the ground floor and the other, on the upper floor. We had lunch for two starting with the appetizer, a platter of cold cuts and cheeses, very good and well prepared. Immediately afterwards, we ordered a first course, the umbriachelli with wild boar ragù and a well-cooked and very tasty beef stew with baked potatoes. All served quickly, without long waits or downtime between one course and another. The only flaw, in my opinion, is the ragù sauce, a little slow. But apart from this, I highly recommend it for the courtesy of the staff, smiling and always available to respond to customer requests. The prices are quite honest, given the quality of the food.

Very good. My 14 year old son fell in love with it. Nice place very close to the cathedral. Delicious focaccias with local cured meats or porchetta. Truly excellent. Once you've eaten one you're full. Friendly and pleasant staff. Dogs are also accepted. Truly highly recommended!!!! Average prices.
