L'Oste del Re in Orvieto is a culinary experience that deserves to be lived. The restaurant, located in the heart of the historic center, offers a welcoming and intimate environment, perfect for a special evening or an informal dinner with friends and family. The menu, rich and varied, offers typical dishes of the Umbrian tradition revisited with creativity and care. Each course is prepared with fresh, high-quality ingredients, from local cured meats and cheeses. The porchetta sandwich is highly recommended and is something wonderful. Very small negative note, my sandwich perhaps needed to be reheated a little. For the rest everything is top.

Delicious food with cute drawings of boars! The music played within the restaurant is impeccable too. We ordered the truffle sandwich and ragu pasta.

We were looking for a trattoria where we could enjoy real Umbrian cuisine without many frills. And only by chance did we find it in the Oste del Re. Everything was excellent. From the starters to the first courses (superb umbricelli) and the meat, everything was fantastic. How fantastic was the courtesy and helpfulness of the owner.

I liked it a lot. Kind and friendly. A place that evidently has the hand of the manager. part tavern, part take-away focacceria, but also at the table. simple and tasty dishes. prices ok.

24/02/2024: I just heard that the restaurant has decided to close at the moment. I'm so sorry, it was a regular stop for us every time we were in the area. The quality, the kindness, the view were so relaxing that we felt like we were at the home of friends. 💛
28/11/2023: Una trattoria vecchia maniera dove fanno da padroni i primi e la carne. Provare le tagliatelle ai funghi che sono eccezionali. Antipasto della casa abbondante e con selezione di affettati, formaggi e bruschette vario e roba non da supermercato. Ottimo come qualità prezzo.
