In 10 weeks of travelling in Europe in 2024, Ornato was a standout! Excellent food, service, atmosphere - as a family business, the owners should be very proud.

Dishes with attention to the smallest details. The steamed cod and crispy octopus with caramelized onion are highly recommended. Super courteous and kind waitress. Before the arrival of the dishes we requested, we were served local breadsticks with local bread and an entrée of panelle with octopus and herb mayonnaise. Less positive was the fact that I paid 8 euros for a cover charge for 2 people and that I paid 12 euros for 2 bitters. In the vast majority of restaurants I found myself in, the bitters are always offered on the house and the fact that they were not offered is more than fair, but paying 12 euros for them seems a bit excessive to me. It is still a place that I highly recommend and to which I would gladly return.

It is an excellent fish restaurant located in the historic center of Modica which is accessed by going up a street made up of steps that characterizes the whole side of the city but it is worth it because the food is a real reward and all the staff including the owner/chef they are very kind 🌺

Delicious dinner for two. Pasta with shrimp, prawns, calamari. Catch of the day baked in mash potato to a delicate crisp and a complementary appetizer of Octopus and tomato mayo. Fabulous

While passing through Modica, the hotel recommended this restaurant to us. The place is characteristic and evocative, with a few tables, quiet, with good service and excellent food, we ate fish, fresh and well cooked.

On holiday in Modica, we were recommended by local friends. Welcoming atmosphere and impeccable service. We indulged in important dishes such as raw seafood and seafood linguine accompanied by a good bottle of Grillo
