Sunday, March 8, 2026. Lunch. Fantastic food. The menu was handwritten in block letters... not exactly easy to understand... I've attached a photo. The owner was very kind, but the recent negative reviews I've seen are true. The atmosphere, to be honest, didn't thrill me... very simple and spartan. We arrived late (3:00 PM), but they still let us have lunch.

"Flawless dinner! The staff was attentive and courteous, and the dishes (especially the carbonara) were exceptional. The atmosphere was welcoming and the place very clean. Definitely one of the best osterias I've ever tried. We'll definitely be back!"

Trattoria serving home-style cuisine. Simple and quiet, located in the Centocelle area. The tagliatelle with sausage and zucchini flowers and the saltimbocca alla romana are excellent. The homemade anchovy meatballs are delicious. The owner's homemade desserts are spectacular, and the cannoli are delicious. We'll be back next time we visit Rome.

We booked this trattoria for Sunday lunch when all hope seemed lost... and instead it was a sensational discovery! We started with the simply amazing tonnarelli cacio e pepe, without a doubt the best I've ever eaten in Rome. I also tried the carbonara: superb, creamy, and perfectly balanced. For main courses, the sublime saltimbocca alla romana and the meatballs made with three types of meat (beef, pork, and veal) were absolutely mind-blowing. All accompanied by a traditional sautéed chicory and an excellent local wine. And the icing on the cake: the host, a true character, incredibly friendly, and capable of making the experience even more memorable. We'll definitely be back!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I went for dinner and we were really satisfied. The two of us enjoyed the owner's freshly made meatballs, with ricotta and cheese, which were truly delicious. We then had amatriciana, Roman-style scallops, and sautéed chicory, all prepared with great care and authentic flavors. To finish, a very fresh tiramisu was the icing on the cake. With two glasses of wine and a water, we spent €30 per person: excellent value. The food is delicious, I absolutely recommend this place to anyone who wants to savor authentic Roman cuisine! 🍝🍷

We went for lunch, after various recommendations, I must say very satisfied, the owners are friendly and friendly, you can see that they are experienced people, especially the cook, knowledgeable and very good, we had the appetizer and two first courses off the menu, very good, with fresh and quality ingredients. They have a very varied menu, suitable for everyone, there is also parking, recommended also for the quality/price ratio. 👏🏻

20/04/2026: If you're visiting Rome and want a good, affordable option, this bar is the place. Very welcoming atmosphere, and the staff is very friendly and friendly. 10/10
15/04/2026: Bar San Marcello is a lovely little coffee stop near the Trevi Fountain, and it works especially well for an early morning walk before the area fills up with tourists. I ordered 2 cappuccinos and 1 pastry, and the whole bill came to just 8.50 euros, which felt like excellent value for central Rome. The cappuccinos were smooth, creamy, and well balanced, with a rich flavour that made them easy to enjoy. The pastry was fresh and light, with just the right amount of sweetness to go with the coffee. What I liked most was the atmosphere: calm, local, and unpretentious, with quick service and a relaxed pace that made the stop feel easy and genuine. It is the kind of place you can pop into for a simple breakfast without spending too much time or money, yet still walk away feeling satisfied. Being so close to the Trevi Fountain makes it even better, because you can grab a coffee here and continue straight into one of Rome’s most iconic areas. For a straightforward, affordable, and pleasant start to the day, Bar San Marcello is a solid choice and a spot I would happily return to again.

29/03/2026: Truly delicious restaurant! Excellent raw materials cooked to perfection. The meat is spectacular, it melts in your mouth. One of my favorite restaurants in the Castelli Romani. Thank you.
27/03/2026: This is my first review of this place, but I've been there many times, and that says it all. The atmosphere is casual yet refined, and the owner (Erminio) is friendly and helpful. The food is excellent and plentiful. Good value for money. It remains one of my go-to restaurants.
