Everything is fabulous in this very refined restaurant where in the summer you can dine with a sea view on the beach. The fresh fish dishes are exceptional with excellent pairings (I recommend the penne alla Maito, which is their signature dish). The selection of wines and champagne is endless. The very knowledgeable staff makes you feel like part of the family.

Maito clearly has a reputation which unfortunately relies only on legacy. Waitrons are obviously incentivized to upsell but without the delicate skills required to be tactful. We were assured that the Bellini my wife ordered was the real deal. As Italians it should be an embarrassment for them to call it a Bellini especially when you pour the equivalent of a peach ice tea into a bubbly! The meat was marbled and tasty but could have fed four instead of two. The vibe, though, was festive and relaxing. Forte dei Marmi is losing its appeal and Maito is the metaphor for this decline. Not even the Roman Empire could survive the excess and abuse…

Possibly the best value in Forte dei Marmi. Elegant atmosphere and truly excellent, never boring dishes. It's always a pleasure to return.

I visited maito' restaurant in Forte dei Marmi for the first time. I hadn’t booked a table, so I understand it may not have been easy to accommodate me. The restaurant was not very busy, but I was seated in the hallway table, which felt a little disappointing. On the positive side, the food & service was really good + we paid 30€ for the seats. I hope the restaurant can improve in how they welcome first-time guests especially when there's many tables available.

It's impossible to go to Forte dei Marmi and not notice MAITÓ. Knowledgeable and helpful wait staff. Good, carefully prepared dishes. Prices are reasonable.

07/09/2025: I went to Molo 16 Pizza Lab a few nights ago while in Castiglione della Pescaia, and we tried the pizza: it's served on a wooden peel and is similar to Roman pinsa. A bit Latin, it's divided into rectangles so you can try more than one flavor. It was very good and light. They also offer some original alternatives. The staff is very friendly and the place is very cute. It overlooks the dock, the marina, so the view is also romantic. Highly recommended ❤️
28/08/2025: Not the best pizza we've had (a bit too crusty) but still, it had super fresh ingredients. Staff looked professional, served pretty quickly, but no smiles...The resto is in the port, but nothing spectacular as regards the view. Prices on the higher side. A plus: one can make reservations online.

29/09/2025: We found the restaurant by chance during our stay in Abruzzo. The atmosphere definitely needs improvement, a bit dated and full of objects and colors that don't fit together, as does the menu, a bit retro, as if time had stood still. The food, however, was nothing to complain about: everything was delicious and the portions were generous. We didn't have time to take photos because the dishes were so good we devoured them. I remember exactly what we ordered, though: there were four of us and we had two plates of sagne and beans, one plate of tagliatelle alla boscaiola, one plate of grilled lamb with fries, one plate of meatballs with tomato sauce, three bottles of water, and one bottle of wine. Needless to say, with those two portions of sagne, we ate for four and even had seconds, as we did with the other courses. At the end of the dinner, they offered us coffee, an after-dinner drink, and cake, for a total of €53!! If you're in the area, stop by, you'll be happy! ♥️🥰
