Chosen without any prior knowledge, on instinct, this lovely osteria, just steps from the Church of San Pietro in Assisi, turned out to be a very pleasant gastronomic surprise.
Truffle strangozzi followed by grilled lamb are substantial dishes, and although challenging, they were easily digested without hesitation, thanks to the addition of a white Grechetto, which I know is easy to drink.
The service was friendly, courteous, and efficient. The price was fair; what more can I say? We'll definitely be back.
The place is a bit old-fashioned but has its charm, the waitress is very kind and friendly and the aubergines, baked potatoes, strangozzi with truffle and maltagliati with leek and white ragù were simply superb!
