We received a wonderful welcome from the Chef, who took the time to explain the menu and the different dishes available. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and this is reflected in the food. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at a reasonable price. The Chef even explained that he could prepare dishes not listed on the menu for us, as the restaurant wasn't very busy.

A chef who loves what he does, it shows in his cooking, the atmosphere and his contact with the customer.

I stumbled upon Pierfrancesco's for the first time by chance, and it's been a regular ever since! Everything here deserves five stars: the welcome, the quality of the ingredients, the simple yet consistently tasty dishes, the low prices, and the Tuscan charm, which never hurts! ❤️

This was a one of a lifetime experience which everybody should have while traveling Rome or Italy! Francesco is an amazing cook and person which makes the food taste like something mind blowing! If you come there to eat dinner he will give you an option of dishes to choose from and has no fix menu. If you want to have a dinner that feels Italian and personal visit Francesco and enjoy !:)

My boyfriend and I had a really nice evening here, the food was delicious, and the owner (Francesco) is super friendly. He takes his time with you and loves to chat! You can put together your own dinner menu with Francesco; just let him know your wishes and he will create something fantastic for you. The atmosphere is super cozy and the service is top-notch, definitely recommended!

Some restaurants serve great food. Others leave you with a story to tell. This was definitely the latter. We visited in August, just before the owner (Francesco) went on holiday. Along the way, we discovered that he’s a winemaker and learned about the philosophy behind his restaurant. His menu changes every day and features only a few carefully chosen dishes, allowing him to focus on fresh ingredients and homemade cooking rather than endless choice. We trusted his recommendations for our starter, main course, and wine, and couldn’t have chosen better. Before we left, he surprised us with a complimentary liqueur. What truly sets this place apart is Francesco himself. His warmth and genuine enthusiasm make everyone feel welcome, creating an atmosphere that feels more like being invited into someone’s home than dining in a restaurant. The combination of exceptional food, thoughtful hospitality, and his passion for what he does made this one of the highlights of our trip.

Excellent! There's no menu in the evening, but Francesco goes out of his way to showcase Italian cuisine, offering dishes tailored to your preferences. Far from a tourist trap, the atmosphere is relaxed and friendly. The portions are sure to satisfy even the heartiest appetites at a very reasonable price. Thank you for a wonderful evening! ☀️

Do yourself a favor and visit this place. It’s a 15 minute walk from the termini train station and you can get away from all the overly touristic restaurants and have yourself a real experience. The owner Francesco is welcoming and funny, but most importantly he really cares that you have a good time. He brought us great wines, made us a fantastic rigatoni with pork cheek, and a bruschetta and spent time chatting with us about life. Next time I’m in Rome I will come back for sure, but I’d be surprised if there’s an open table. Thank you Francesco for a great last evening in Rome.

What a find! Rome is full of great places to eat, but if you're looking for an evening/afternoon to remember, away from the crowds and tourist traps, make your way to Francesco's charming restaurant. Tucked away between Termini and La Sapienza University, it is an oasis of calm and a welcome break for the weary traveller. There's no menu! Depending on your (and Franceco's) mood, he will whip you up a range of Italian delicacies to satisfy your deepest pasta cravings. On our first evening we got Bruschetta to start, large servings of alio olio with anchovies, and if that wasn't enough he produced also some carbonara and amatriciana to die for - just to taste he said :) All of this was washed down with some delectable Trebbiano. There are some rules to observe though! If you don't finish your pasta, you don;t get served dessert and coffee, so bring a hearty appetite. We manged to, and were duly rewarded. Also when we asked if he had and grappa, he produced five bottles of digestivs, ranging from grappa to Limoncello and Ratafia. Francesco is a fabulous host and chef, and an excellent raconteur so you will leave both well fed and entertained. And not much lighter in the wallet either! Can't recommend this place enough!
