Locanda Milano 1873 In Brunate

I had a welcoming and personalized experience at this accommodation. The manager on duty welcomed me with kindness and thoughtfulness, taking care of preparing a seafood dinner suitable for my food intolerances while we checked in. He also provided me with all the useful information I needed. Despite my late and unexpected arrival, I was able to enjoy the nighttime view from Brunate without missing the spectacular sunset and the nighttime lights of Como. The room, though basic, was cozy and smelled of flowers, and was spotlessly clean. The basic amenities offered are perfectly in line with the cost of the accommodation, which is very affordable, especially considering the strategic location just steps from the funicular to the center of Brunate. I highly recommend staying here, even in high season, for the excellent value.

The hotel is located overlooking Como and a short walk from the funicular into the city. It's comfortable and has an at home feeling. Raoul and his staff go out of their way to make this place feel at home. They've put their heart and soul into this place and I've never felt more welcome.

We stopped for lunch. This is not a review for the hotel but there was no choice to do so. The Terrasse is pleasant but without any view. The pasta and the polenta were respectively good and ok but the Greek salad was really bad. It was not at all a Greek salad and without proper seasoning.

Great food. Top notch service. Would come here again 10/10 times.

Pasamos un fin de semana aquí y nos encantó. nos llevamos nuestro Mali belga con nosotros, que fue un desacuerdo ya que nuestro perro es parte de la familia. El propietario era muy amable en el teléfono cuando llamé y cuando llegamos allí me ayudó a aparcar mi coche. También me recibió fuera del hotel y envió una camarera para ayudarnos a llevar equipaje a nuestras habitaciones. El hotel me recordó a mi infancia un poco atrás en los años 90 que tuvo un efecto positivo en mí. La habitación era sencilla pero muy limpia. La cena fue genial, todos estábamos muy satisfechos. Las cosas eran amables y acogedoras. En nuestra primera noche apenas dormí lo suficiente debido a un niño gritando al otro lado de nuestra habitación, que por supuesto no es culpa del propietario, sin embargo, se lo mencioné por la mañana y me ofreció otra habitación para mi conveniencia. Terminamos teniendo dos habitaciones, aunque pagué solo por una, la otra fue un regalo como él dijo. Me conmovió mucho su amabilidad y lo considerado que era. El propietario de este hotel incluyendo las cosas hizo todo lo posible donde podemos sentirnos bien atendidos. He estado viajando con mis hijos relativamente a menudo, pero la hospitalidad de este hombre debe ser reconocida en todo el mundo. El hotel es sencillo, pero acogedor, la gente es cálida y amable, es difícil encontrar lugares como ese. Cuando estábamos a punto de salir, el propietario nos acompañó a nuestro coche, y de corazón nos deseó un viaje seguro. Me conmovió tanto su amabilidad que no pude contener mis lágrimas.
