Very good dishes and very refined flavor combinations.
Given the price range in which the inn is located, I recommend making the portions larger.

Very good food, cooked daily from local producers. Good option is to choose a different menu to try all dishes, perfectly cooked and delicious. And experience local producers wineries.

A truly peculiar restaurant, from the outside you are not particularly impressed but the inside is a real treasure with books, pictures, records and various objects that reflect the multifaceted taste of the managers, who are friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. The cuisine is typical but not obvious with some interesting digressions. The quality of the raw materials, nothing short of excellent, allows for excellent results even in the simplest dishes. The wine is also excellent. Not exactly easy to reach but maybe it's for the best, it's definitely worth the trip.

It was an initiatory journey for me, my 4 friends had already had the chance to frequent this place.
They say that good things are deserved, it starts with a location and access that is not the easiest (it’s not high mountains either).
The exterior appearance is simple, it is only when we walk through the door that the immersion begins, it is a journey through time and into the lives of the people who welcome us.
As soon as we sit down, with the “sea” menu, we start with a delicious champagne to complement our octopus with asparagus.
Then ravioli in “marine” broth with an excellent Pouilly white wine.
Special mention to the salmon fillet, the cooking of which was particularly successful and the accompaniment with the white wine reduction just as pleasant.
On the desserts, all in all classic but very well made.
The magic can certainly come from the plate, but during each visit to our table the advice and explanations on the dishes and wines are such that we listen with our eyes wide open to the stories that are given to us.
Here we know the winegrowers, fishmongers, cheesemakers and fruit and vegetable producers.
Thanks to the locanda Mariella stay as you are.

I visited the inn for a couple's Sunday lunch.
The inn offers three tasting paths: tradition, land and sea.
With about a week's notice, we chose the fish menu (the only flaw, in my opinion, is the fact that if you choose the seafood menu, it must be extended to all diners).
The location recalls the wine shop in the city of Parma, with an artistic decor of vinyl records and bottles; the jazz in the background to accompany lunch was very pleasant.
The food is of excellent quality and the preparations were appreciated, from the roasted octopus to the dessert. Last but not least, the champagne recommended to us was fully appreciated.
This place is legendary, so we approached it not without a certain curiosity. We found an intimate, colourful, welcoming place in which to consume excellent dishes cooked with religious respect for the raw materials, and wines out of the ordinary, an exciting expression of their terroirs. But at Locanda Mariella there is much more than this. There is the passion of Mariella and Guido, who gracefully and lightly take you by the hand and accompany you on a journey made of conviviality, sharing and cultural growth, because food is exactly this in their enlightened vision. Or at least this is what we perceived. Thank you so much, see you soon!
