This is a great restaurant with an incredible location right next to the lake. The food is excellent and the lemon ravioli has deservedly been on the menu for 25 years. We had eaten here 15 years ago and were charmed by the friendly staff and great location; this visit was equally wonderful.

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant. We went the day before to put a reservation in (you cannot walk in - you must have a reservation). Being right on the water is a great way to spend dinner. It was peaceful and a beautiful setting. The food was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed every bite. Definitely recommend getting to the restaurant if you are in Sala Comacina.

La Tirlindana is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful locations on the entire lake. That's why I went for dinner yesterday for the second time (within two years). You can tell by the clientele: there were no Italians there. This is simply because the dishes served would not satisfy an Italian palate. I then made the mistake of ordering things that were probably designed for people who are vegan and lactose intolerant. Quinoa in Italy, my own fault. But I had no idea until then that quinoa could be prepared so blandly. Thank goodness the balsamic vinegar and oil were good, and of course the wine too. My husband had fish, and unfortunately the pasta wasn't great either. So, unfortunately, the food is rather below average. The service was good. The clientele was 90% American, and the location, as I said, was sensational. What is the point of a restaurant? It's the food, hence the 3 stars.

One of my favorite spots on earth. Cannot recommend enough. Get the lemon ravioli! Non-negotiable. Then enjoy the trout and any of the other wonderful dishes but get the ravioli. The sample dessert is perfect as well. A taste of so many goodies.
Wonderful view, perfect atmosphere, impeccable service, and the ravioli. Oh my goodness. Until we meet again…

Semi-gastronomic restaurant, fairly high prices. Absolutely charming setting, right on the waterfront. My partner enjoyed his pasta and fish dish, but I didn't. My fish appetizer had a convoluted name for a basic, flavorless, and not very generous fried dish, and my seafood pasta was overcooked. A very popular place, it was full every night. Very attentive and friendly service.

Great food, service, and view. Perfect for a date night - especially right before sunset. It’s tucked away so it feels private, romantic, and away from all the noise. The standout was the Beet Burrata cheese.

Qué gran hallazgo. Un auténtico restaurante local cerca del lago que sirve deliciosa comida, incluidas varias ofertas para aquellos con intolerancia al gluten o a los lácteos. Un cambio bienvenido desde los lugares turísticos en Menaggio y Varenna más arriba en la costa.
Hay un menú pequeño pero bien pensado y disfrutamos mucho de nuestro almuerzo. Tanto es así que estamos volviendo a visitar antes de salir de la zona. El servicio fue excelente, acogedor y atento. Lo recomendaría encarecidamente.
