This is a great restaurant with an incredible location right next to the lake. The food is excellent and the lemon ravioli has deservedly been on the menu for 25 years. We had eaten here 15 years ago and were charmed by the friendly staff and great location; this visit was equally wonderful.

We had an excellent experience at this restaurant. We went the day before to put a reservation in (you cannot walk in - you must have a reservation). Being right on the water is a great way to spend dinner. It was peaceful and a beautiful setting. The food was absolutely delicious and we enjoyed every bite. Definitely recommend getting to the restaurant if you are in Sala Comacina.

La Tirlindana is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful locations on the entire lake. That's the only reason I went there for dinner yesterday for the second time (within two years). You can tell by the clientele; there weren't any Italians. This is simply because the dishes offered wouldn't satisfy an Italian palate. I then made the mistake of ordering the items that were probably created more for vegans and those with lactose intolerance. Quinoa in Italy—my own fault. But I hadn't realized until then that it was possible to prepare quinoa so blandly. Thankfully, the balsamic vinegar and olive oil were good, and of course, the wine was too. My husband had fish, and the pasta wasn't great either. So, unfortunately, the food was rather below average. The service was good. The clientele was 90% American, and the location, as I said, is sensational. What's the point of a restaurant? The food, hence the three stars.

One of my favorite spots on earth. Cannot recommend enough. Get the lemon ravioli! Non-negotiable. Then enjoy the trout and any of the other wonderful dishes but get the ravioli. The sample dessert is perfect as well. A taste of so many goodies. Wonderful view, perfect atmosphere, impeccable service, and the ravioli. Oh my goodness. Until we meet again…

A semi-gastronomic restaurant with fairly high prices. The setting is absolutely charming, right on the water. My partner thoroughly enjoyed his pasta and fish dish, while I was much less impressed. My fish antipasti had a rather fanciful name for a basic, tasteless, and meager fried dish, and my seafood pasta was overcooked. A very popular spot, it was packed every night. The service was very attentive and friendly.

Great food, service, and view. Perfect for a date night - especially right before sunset. It’s tucked away so it feels private, romantic, and away from all the noise. The standout was the Beet Burrata cheese.
