Locanda La Gemella In Barolo

Unforgettable experience! We ended up there by chance and it was a very pleasant surprise. High quality dishes combined with great service and honest prices make this restaurant one of my absolute favorites! Highly recommended

Excellent bistro in the center of Barolo. It is the second restaurant of the Viberti family, producers of Barolo with main restaurant in the same hill town. Modern and refined environment. Wide availability of labels and kind and courteous staff in recommending the best pairing. Good and nice dishes. Considering the location, prices are average.

Nice environment, the menu in its simplicity is refined with typical and quality products, the pork cheek braised in Barolo is DIVINE... I recommend the "la gemella" tasting menu to savor the tradition of this place...

I would suggest increasing the dose of the dish offered by the house (a teaspoon of Russian salad worth 0.0001 euros) rather don't offer it! The rest I ate, raw Piedmontese meat, a dessert and a glass of wine from a bottle (total 35 euros) seems a little high to me.

One of our favorite restaurants, every time we return to Barolo we come to dinner here. Traditional food expertly prepared and an extensive wine list. Only note, I would recommend on particularly sultry days to have guests dine inside with the air conditioning.

We came across the restaurant by chance when we were walking into the village from our accommodation. We had a really nice evening. The food is really great and the service is incredibly nice. Price-performance ratio is very good here!

After a long series of disappointments I found this restaurant almost by chance and I must say that it would be difficult to improve it in any way. The kindness, the service and above all the lack of bloodletting and the reasonable prices make it jump very high in my personal ranking.

Sosta per pranzo di lavoro il voto sarebbe un 4,5. In generale molto buono, plin al fondo di arrosto eccelsi. Vitello tonnato ok ma nn eccezionale. Buona selezione di vini….ci mancherebbe!

Abbiamo scoperto questo locale per caso…poiché abbiamo posteggiato l’auto proprio davanti l’ingresso; ma non lo abbiamo quasi notato perché le luci erano spente. Più tardi , nel riprendere l’auto per andare , appunto , a cercare un posto per Mangiare a cena , vedendolo illuminato ci ha incuriosito e siamo entrati …da quel momento esatto a quando ne siamo usciti è stato un susseguirsi di bellissime emozioni: servizio impeccabile: il ragazzo che ci ha servito è stato a di poco professionale, oltre che simpaticissimo e prodigo di consigli; tutti i piatti (consigliati) sono stato molto apprezzati, dall’antipasto al dolce …ottimo vino e prezzi in linea con la qualità e il servizio offerto ! Insomma , una esperienza inattesa , ma indelebile !
