The food was excellent, and the service was very attentive. We were allowed to peek into a room, and it looked very inviting 👍. The entire area around the restaurant is also very pleasant in the summer. They have a lovely garden where you can relax. About 10 minutes from the restaurant, there's a huge chestnut tree; just head towards the village and the church, then keep right—it's easy to find.

An excellent restaurant located in the hamlet of Maglioggio, 1,801 meters above sea level, in the municipality of Crodo, famous for the renowned Crodino aperitif! Maglioggio is a beautiful mountain village offering splendid views of the valley below. It's an ideal starting point for mountain hikes, with trails winding through woods and mountain pastures. A short distance from the village church, you can admire the largest chestnut tree in Italy, "La Pianta Maria Bona," listed among the monumental trees of the Piedmont region and the Canton of Ticino. Impressive and magnificent, it is over 350 years old, 25 meters tall, and 8.50 meters in circumference.

The way you interact with customers is really useful: they can click on the link and preview the à la carte menu, our wine list, etc. Unfortunately, in the Ossola Valley, there are still few restaurateurs who have modernized their IT skills with this useful interactive communication. Even at the table, you can scan the QR code image with the restaurant's menu!
Beautiful location, we had lunch on a lovely veranda, with a splendid view and truly well-maintained.

Baked potatoes sautéed in butter from Latteria Di Crodo with rosemary from our garden. Followed by two excellent desserts: an apple strudel and a hazelnut cake.
I enjoyed a decent Traminer.
Grapes: 100% Traminer. Characteristics: Straw yellow color, intense yet delicate aroma with hints of flowers and rose hips.
Traminer Ciari Delle Venezie IGT 2023 - Borgo Molino
Grapes: 100% Traminer. Straw yellow color, intense yet delicate aroma with hints of flowers, rose hips, and exotic fruit. Great balance on the palate, intensely aromatic, persistent, and pleasant. Excellent with hot and cold appetizers, risottos, and shellfish.
Alcohol 13%, 750 ml bottle.
An absolutely positive experience: a rich and varied menu, an excellent wine list, excellent desserts, friendly staff, excellent product quality, and a fair price!
Definitely worth returning to try other dishes!
Thanks, until next time!
