We came to this restaurant because there is nothing much you can do in this village except mine tour when it’s raining. Stuff was nice with good English. We had to try pizza and aperoll of course. Waiting time was like 10 minutes and dish was delicious. Pay with card possible but they charged us paper placemats with cutlery which was 1,50€ per person. Not sure if these are standards in Italy or not. Italian atmosphere was amazing btw.

This has been the place to go for a farewell lunch on the way home from Monte Canin caving for quite some time now. Of course, if it's Sunday and it's Italy, then pizza is the order of the day, the basic Margherita pizza is also very good, my all-time favorite is Quattro Formaggio. Along with it, a large portion of local mineral water, which is brought out with the local restaurant's logo, is very creative. You can pay with cash and credit card at the end of the meal. Older ladies bring the food, so if there are a lot of people, you have to wait patiently for the food. Important! The restaurant closes at 2 pm for the siesta, so you have to hurry with lunch. A really fantastic lunch with lots of options and exceptional pizza (amazing sauce and crispy base). There are salad options and pasta. Lots of drinks too. Fries were fab. Really fantastic food, thank you.

The pasta and pizza were amazing. We ate for three and the prize was great. The service was nice and the quality and variety of italian food was outstanding. We sat outside and enjoyed the great view. This is a highlight spot on our bike trip. Thank you!

La Locanda del Minatore in Cave del Predil is a true gem nestled in a unique setting. The welcome is warm, and the staff makes you feel right at home. The traditional Friulian dishes are authentic and prepared with the freshest ingredients. Don't miss the frico with polenta, the goulash, and the tagliatelle with mushrooms, all hearty and flavorful. The pizza is also excellent, crispy and tasty, ideal for those seeking a simpler dinner. The homemade tiramisu is the perfect end to an unforgettable meal. The portions are generous and the prices are truly fair, making it excellent value. The location is perfect for those visiting the mine or hiking in the surrounding area. The family-friendly and relaxed atmosphere makes every visit a pleasure. A must-see for anyone passing through these mountains!

Loved this place - stumbled by it on way back from triglav and then drove across from slovenia two more times just to visit during our trip - delicious food and incredibly lovely staff

The only restaurant in the area, but still in a nice location, even though we drove through this beautiful town for a long time without stopping. Great pizza and reasonably priced, compared to restaurants in Tarvisio. Staff very helpful and nice.

We went to eat at this inn right after seeing the mines, as they're practically right next to each other. The food was pretty good—nothing incredible, but still good. The only flaw was the portions were a bit small. If it weren't for the fact that we had breakfast late, the two people I was with would have left feeling pretty hungry, not exactly hungry, but it depends on how hungry you are. The bathrooms were fairly clean with everything you need. The service was friendly and helpful. We went around 1:15 PM and they seated us right away. We ordered at 1:25 PM, and even though the room was full, the food arrived at 1:45 PM. The total bill for a 0.75 bottle of water, a burger (the one in the photo), and two dishes—a goulash and a polenta with ragù—plus two coffees was €50, so I'd say it's pretty good value. If you're hungry after leaving the mines or the museum and want some very simple, unpretentious food, go there.
