Dinner on the 31st, booked days in advance, €60 per person, I think. I paid a deposit out of fairness. I liked the dishes, especially the soup and tagliatelle, the cannelloni, and the roast beef were passable. The lentils with cotechino were embarrassing, a slice of dry cotechino cut into squares...you can see the photo...anyway, overall...it was okay. Aside from the industrial dessert, which wasn't very good...a well-made crepe would have been better! But the scandalous thing was the weather. Cold. We were placed in a sort of enclosed outdoor area, poorly, for the winter. Someone had us move to the main room. The rest of us dined in jackets. If I hadn't already paid a deposit, I would have gone to eat a couple of arrosticini in the square. There was a fake stove that I still have to figure out if it worked. The waiters pretended nothing was happening... they were rushing to serve everyone and didn't even notice... the owner or manager... the one in a tie at the cash register, who occasionally appeared, didn't bother to say anything... like maybe there was a problem and he apologized to us in the dining room... nothing. I stayed because I thought they'd fix it at least a little. And nothing when I went to pay, either. I repeat, we all dined in coats. A discount would have been enough to save their reputation. But I saw they have the same problems with the air conditioning, reading previous reviews...!

Very tasty, didn't have to wait long. Prices are not expensive, service is very polite, attentive and fast! A great dinner for 5 people with drinks (and a liter of wine!!!) 117 euros. Everything is super, definitely want to visit again!

I was afraid it would be a tourist place but instead I was pleasantly surprised, the food was good and the staff was exquisite.

I had the pleasure of eating at this fantastic restaurant. The young and dynamic staff is exquisitely competent. The dishes are delicious and high-quality. The meat is excellent and the first courses are delicious. A slice of the Middle Ages in the historic center of Ascoli Piceno. I highly recommend it.

12/03/2025: Excellent service and nice atmosphere, but some very disappointing dishes: Ascolana olives a little dry and tasted like they were in the fridge, boiled slices and a little cold. For the rest, a good selection of cheeses, good tagliatelle with meat sauce, tortelloni filled with unusual carbonara. For the price I expected a little more.
08/02/2025: Sono stato al caffè dei poeti qualche giorno fa con la mia ragazza, locale carino, buoni i crudi di carne ma sul primo abbiamo avuto un po’ di riserve : abbiamo deciso di provare i ravioloni ripieni alla carbonara… buona la sfoglia ed il ripieno ma mancava quel che più caratterizza la carbonara, la cremina che si crea con l’amido l’uovo ed il grasso. Era stato messo un formaggio, simili a quei formaggini che mangiavo quando ero piccolo nella minestrina, inoltre il guanciale si sentiva veramente poco sotto i tendi… cosa che in realtà anche questa dovrebbe essere una caratteristica del piatto, quella del guanciale croccante. Un po’ una caduta di stile secondo me. Per il resto ci siamo, la carta dei vini ha buoni prodotti locali e non … magari ecco giusto ad imparare a fare una carbo crema potrebbe essere un valore in più.
