Locanda del Gallo In Chianni

Peposo alla fornacina! One of the best dishes I’ve had in my entire life. The tears were literally welling in my eyes after the first bite of that little piece of heaven.

A unique human and culinary experience, to be repeated without further delay. ✨ La Locanda del Gallo offered us an exceptional meal that made us fall in love with Tuscan flavors. Everything is fresh, artisanal, and made with the heart. The staff was professional and very pleasant: we had the feeling of being pampered despite the language barrier (we do not speak Italian and little English). The breathtaking view of the extensive and hilly landscape contributes to the sensory journey that this meal constitutes. Everything is perfect, tasty, there are no negative points. When we return to the region, there is no doubt that we will dine again in this incredible restaurant, and inexpensive too! A memorable memory. Grazie mille 🙏🙏🙏

Panoramic and tastefully furnished room. Typical Tuscan. Homemade pasta every day. Excellent seasonings. Very kind and friendly owner. Honest prices. We had a lovely evening and I'm sure we'll be back.

Locanda Toscana with traditional dishes but revisited (not too much), the taste is DOCG, a beautiful experience

We had dinner with another couple of friends. The staff were super welcoming from the moment we arrived, the owner is an exquisite person, who passionately explained to us the preparation of each dish on the menu. Everything is homemade, from the sauces to the fresh egg pasta made by them every day. Tortelli, peposo and pork with exceptional apples! We will be back with pleasure!!!

Il posto è incantevole, un ampio parcheggio, la cornice ben curata, pulito e luminoso. Il personale preparatissimo. il servizio veloce ed efficente. Purtroppo i piatti non hanno riscontrato totalmente il nostro gusto. Io ho preso la rosticciana, erano 4 pezzi di carne ma quasi totalmente osso e grasso (duro), moltissimo olio nella ricetta, davvero troppo. La pasta fresca al ragù - la pasta un vero splendore - il sugo al ragù grasso (mio figlio che mangia anche i sassi mi ha fatto notare diversi pezzi di grasso in mezzo al macinato). Poi abbiamo preso questa pasta fresca al ragù bianco di salsiccia con cipolla stufata. Di nuovo la pasta Ottima, il condimento non si riusciva a portare a fine piatto poichè davvero molto dolce, dopo un pò stufava e anche qui se spostavi il ragù potevi riempire un bicchiere di olio. L'antipasto toscano buono (non speciale), alcuni pezzi di grasso (duro) attaccati al crudo che era stato tagliato al coltello, il crudo era molto molto. Molto buoni i crostini ai fegatini, il resto nella media. Il dolce. Buona la crem broulè, ma il tiramisù, un pò tanto dolce e gli oro saiwa utilizzzati erano ridotti totalemente a pappetta. Avevamo aspettative molto alte, secondo me c'è il margine per fare molto meglio con le potenzialità che ha il posto e il preparatissimo personale che ci lavora.

Ci sono stato in inverno e mi ero trovato molto bene ....forse perchè c'era meno gente ma mi ero alzato da tavola soddisfatto ...ci sono tornato con un certo entusiasmo ma è stato in parte disatteso...gli antipasti anonimi con due fette di prosciutto e due di salame e mini crostini ...senza infamia e senza lode ...un primo buono ma meno abbandondante rispetto a i piatti che ricordavo...non vorrei che in estate prevalga il concetto turistico...più clienti meno qualità!!!!1
