Locanda del Duca In Gubbio

We had dinner at this restaurant a few nights ago. The staff was friendly and helpful. Excellent food and a good price for the quality... I recommend it. Congratulations!!!

While visiting Gubbio, we had lunch at Locanda del Duca. From appetizers to dessert, we found carefully prepared dishes, fabulous flavors, and top-quality ingredients. When we asked the owner for wine recommendations, we were captivated by his description, which revealed a wealth of expertise, knowledge, love, and passion for his region, all of which are a precious addition to our experience here. Camilla's warm welcome and cheerful attitude made everything even more wonderful. I'm grateful for their patience and kindness in waiting for us to order coffee, even at a time when they probably should have closed. I'm also grateful for welcoming our dogs, who, admittedly, are a bit cumbersome, even though there was only indoor seating available. If we return to the area, we'll gladly stay for another experience, not only culinary but also human.

For my wife and I'd celebrated our wedding anniversary, we spent two days touring the area around Gubbio, doing a lot of sightseeing. We slept and ate at this establishment. Everything was exceptional: from the location right in the center of Gubbio, the clean and tidy room, the fast and efficient service, the polite and always smiling staff (which isn't for everyone these days), to the food itself, which was simply amazing: delicious dishes and reasonable prices. I hope to return soon. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

It was a fantastic experience. We had three starters and they were all fantastic. The tiramisu was phenomenal.

Passing through Gubbio, we decided to look for a restaurant in the historic center where we could enjoy local specialties. We chose Locanda del Duca, and never has a decision been so wise. Even the table we chose along the streetlamp-lit alley and the view of the illuminated hill overlooking the Palazzo dei Consoli created a pleasant atmosphere. The choice of food and drinks proved to be spot-on. Everything was excellent, plentiful, and well-served, with a genuine, unforced, friendly service and professionalism. The surprise was the bill...despite the mushrooms and truffles, the price was incredibly reasonable. In short, if we pass through Gubbio again, we'll definitely return and will be sure to recommend it to friends...and, of course, to anyone who reads this review. Donatella and Tiziano

Today we ate really well, it was a special day for us, and the guys at Locanda del Duca made it so. We ate very well, the young and very knowledgeable staff advised and guided us through every dish. The first courses are all top-quality, the chef is on top of things and it shows in every dish. The appetizers, with cured meats and cheeses, are top-quality. For the second courses, I want to make a special mention of the pork belly, a joy for the palate, perfectly cooked and flavored. The sliced ​​steak with porcini mushrooms melts in your mouth like butter, and the mushrooms and chopped lard make it a dish that makes you happy, the joy of being in the right place at the right time. The desserts... tozzetti and sour cherry wine are the perfect ending to a perfect lunch... but the torcolo all'eugubina is a reinterpretation of a typical dessert that takes on star-worthy characteristics; try it and believe it. A special mention to the staff (all young and talented….my compliments!). The girl who served us was very good, very professional, and I thank her for making my 11-year-old son feel at ease. Thank you so much... We will definitely be back, and those of you reading this review should definitely go... eating well is happiness, so Locanda del Duca is the right place.

Llegamos muy tarde debido al retraso en el vuelo y nos atendieron muy bien y rápido. La carne de res y las verduras se cocinaron a la perfección y podían manejar muy bien sin gluten. Excelente relación calidad-precio y gracias por ayudarnos en una llegada tardía.

Paramos por la tarde y reservamos una mesa para la cena. Cuando llegamos, nos pusieron en una mesa al lado de la cocina. El vino estaba bien. Tenemos los aperitivos mezclados, solo uno tenía sabor. Mi marido se hizo un ravioli y yo tenía gnocci (que normalmente me encanta). Los ñoquis eran ligeros pero la salsa era tan salada que no podía comerla. Diré que otro hombre tenía los ñoquis en una salsa de tomate y le encantaban. Los raviolis también eran terribles, insípidos y no cocinados. Al dente está bien, pero esto era muy crudo. Teníamos un pollo muy bueno que era tierno y bueno, así como una ensalada fresca. Solicitamos nuestro cheque dos veces y esperamos unos 20 minutos. Soy un viajero experimentado a Italia, así que sé qué esperar y rara vez me quejo (de hecho, nunca he escrito una crítica sobre una comida en Italia que no sea una buena), pero siento decir que esta fue una de las peores comidas que he tenido.
