Locanda Da Gio' In Alba

We often come to eat at the inn. The food is great and the staff are friendly and effective. Excellent organization. Top.

We went to Locanda Da Gio', a restaurant located in the heart of Alba. As soon as we arrived we found a huge restaurant, with a rustic style and very welcoming. Inside you can find spacious rooms with many tables. A positive note is that, despite being large, there isn't too much mess, so you can talk in complete tranquility. As an appetizer I took some raw meat chopped with a knife. This dish is truly something sensational, the meat has an intense flavor and immediately leaves you speechless at the first taste. Not to mention its freshness, something incredible, one of the best I've ever eaten. As a main course I took a beef fillet with green pepper, all accompanied by baked potatoes. This dish was also really delicious, the meat melted in your mouth and the sauce was truly delicious. However, it was a shame about the potatoes which didn't have much flavor and in my opinion were a little hard. The service was good, the dishes arrived quite quickly and the waiter was polite and helpful. However, I must say that overall I ate really well and if I could I would go back again. Recommended place!

Friendly staff, spotless room, good food

We went for Halloween and I must say that I really appreciated the joy that the vameriers brought by dressing up. The food was very good, the only thing we found was the agnolotti very salty. Everything else is ok. I will definitely be back

Siamo stati in questo per pranzo, piatti buoni ma niente di eclatante. Servizio veloce, ma ho trovato lo staff un po' freddo nei confronti del cliente. Prezzi onesti.

Siamo capitati in questo locale un pò per caso a pranzo. Ha un arredamento più semplice ed eesenziale rispetto ad altri locali della città,i piatti che abbiamo provato non ci sono dispiaciuti e i prezzi sono abbastanza buoni.

Excellent pizza and, above all, very digestible. Wide possibility of choice. I didn't like the dessert and neither did my table mates. I will definitely return, but I won't go beyond an ice cream. The environment is nice, but underground and for me this is decidedly unpleasant. I saw that there are also floor seats ground but, being part of a large group, I have always been below. Prices are in line with Alba.

The pizza is very good. Fair prices and great service.
