Bella trattoria di campagna posta all'uscita Casacastalda della superstrada Ancona Perugia.
Raggiungibile in pochi minuti da Gubbio e dal confine Umbro-Marchigiano, è ospitata in un magnifico rustico in pietra umbra perfettamente restaurato, con ingresso da un portico e affaccio su un ampio prato alberato.
L'interno è delizioso: ampio, ospitale, tavoli ben distanziati, arredamento elegantemente sobrio, pulizia, bella quiete.
Leonardo fa gli onori di casa e ti guida con gentilezza a scegliere da un menù molto variegato, tutto ispirato alla tradizione culinaria umbra, peraltro ben illustrato su una enorme lavagna appesa alla parete.
Ampia anche la scelta dei vini e quello sfuso non è affatto disprezzabile.
Tempi giusti ma non venite qui se avete fretta. Si gustano i piatti in relax, parlando con il gestore di tradizioni, arte, turismo, poesia.
Noi abbiamo assaporato tagliatelle verdi di farina integrale condite con salsiccia e cavolo nero, fricò di pollo, carciofo ripieno e infine dolce all'amarena di Cantiano. Tutto ottimo!

The place is nice with the possibility of eating outside too! We went the first time on the advice of our host and the following evening we returned because we had a very good time
The food is very good and the pasta is handmade... we ate a bit of everything from starters to desserts... the strudel with chicory and potatoes was fabulous, the strozzapretti with mushrooms, sausage and pecorino cheese were sublime, not to mention the lamb which is the end of the world.. the sublime pasticcioto and the ditto tart.. These are not fast food waiting times so relax and enjoy dinner... we spent the first evening with an appetizer, a first course, 2 second courses and 2 side dishes... 1 dessert and 2 coffees... water and half a liter of wine house red 88.50 and the second evening without the starter 80.. because I wanted to taste the tart! If I ever end up in these parts again I will definitely return! It's a shame I didn't take any photos but I wanted to enjoy it all without a cell in hand! If I really have to find something to suggest it would be to do the fixed menu from €20 to €30 but with more inviting food!

The restaurant had been booked for 22 people with a set menu. The food was good and plentiful with a desert afterwards. Staff were very efficient in all matters.

Very nice and characteristic place. Free parking next to the venue. We ordered the truffle eggs as an appetizer, excellent and plentiful. As a first course, a plate of fresh handmade pasta with goose ragù, also excellent. As a second course, grilled lamb is good and roast sausages are decent. To finish as a sweet pasticciotto with black cherries, delicious and trifle, good. To drink I ordered a local red wine, very good.
The service seemed very professional and organized.
Good prices in relation to the quality of the food.
