A warm welcome, a man with a big heart, clearly passionate about what he does, helpful and attentive to our well-being. The food was remarkable, clean, and absolutely delicious. In short, a truly recommendable and almost essential place. We went at night, but the village looks very pretty; I recommend taking the time to explore the surrounding area while you digest your meal. I thoroughly enjoyed it; it had been a long time since I'd eaten such good food.

We stopped for lunch, almost by chance, along the road... and it turned out to be one of the happiest stops on our trip. One of those places you don't look for, but that seem to find you.
We took the owner-chef's advice and started with a generous and unique meat-based antipasto, made with truly excellent products: authentic, genuine flavors that describe Sardinia better than a thousand words.
The culurgiones were simply unforgettable: soft, fragrant, full of flavor—a true spectacle.
The hand-sliced prosciutto is fabulous, and the surprisingly good house wine pairs everything perfectly.
The owner is kind and passionate, managing to create an unforgettable atmosphere: as you begin to eat, he passes by the walls, touching the bells and making them ring, instilling smiles and lightness. A simple and authentic gesture that remains in your heart.
The place is a little discovery: pipes, knives, bells, and Sardinian handicrafts speak of tradition, the land, and skilled hands. You look around and you really feel Sardinia.

Excellent restaurant in Ilbono, Ogliastra. Exquisite food, intimate atmosphere, and Salvatore, the owner, is truly talented and professional.
To start, he brought us warm bread drizzled with olive oil, which, despite being very simple, was truly delicious! He suggested a rich meat-based appetizer and truly excellent culurgiones with tomato sauce. To finish, we enjoyed excellent artisanal gelato with orange and nougat.
The red wine and grappa are also excellent.
What can I say? If you're passing through, definitely stop by and indulge in these, and so many other, excellent dishes and flavors!

We would give it 5 stars for just being open at the very end of November on Friday afternoon.
But it deserves another 5 starts and more for the hospitality and excellent homemade food. From the moment we walked in we felt very welcomed, the owner and the chef is incredibly friendly. We are so glad the pizza was temporarily unavailable, bracuse we got to enjoy recommended pasta ragu and the most delicious culurgiones. We loved the food and the chef. Highly recommended!

Best restaurant in the area. First time I try horse “caballo,” and it was amazing. The pasta is the specialty of the house. And the dessert is on another level. I already recommend it to all my friends and family. The chef is a special person in the world.

My wife and I stumbled upon this restaurant on August 7th (our review is a bit late, sorry!), as we were looking for something nearby that offered typical Sardinian cuisine. It was the best decision we could have made: the chef was not only extremely professional but also knew how to cater to our personal preferences after providing us with detailed information about each dish. It's also worth mentioning that the service was always very friendly and respectful.
The quality of the ingredients was also very fresh and natural (something that's hard to find in Germany). Of course, we came back the next day and tried the culurgionis – I enjoyed them so much that I ordered a second plate!
100% recommended. If I visit Lanusei again, I'll go straight to this restaurant. Many thanks to the chef for his warm hospitality.
