Locanda Lo Scudo is a truly interesting, refined, and elegant place. It's a place where you immediately feel at ease, thanks to the cozy atmosphere and the friendly, attentive service. The staff is always smiling and professional. We ate fish and loved it: especially the sea bass, which was incredibly fresh and perfectly cooked. It was a wonderful experience; we relaxed and disconnected from everyday life. A very beautiful, charming, slightly quirky place, and above all, with truly delicious cuisine.

Great experience at the restaurant during lunch break. Very fresh and very good oysters from different sources as well as the Catalan presented with shellfish and half a lobster in a triumph of very sweet cherry tomatoes, capers, celery and a little onion. The location inside is small, but very well looked after, the outside is also really pretty. The bathroom is enchanting. Kind and fast service. Interesting wines offered by the glass. A little disappointing the selection of desserts that is presented verbally and is very traditional and simple compared to the dishes found on the menu. From my point of view, as far as desserts are concerned, we are at a lower level, but nobody can take away the 5 stars!!!

10/11/2025: Fantastic dinner. Excellent value for money. Exquisite food: pappardelle and beef tartare. Great atmosphere. Good wine... and they even knew Real Oviedo and Santi Cazorla!
09/11/2025: Some pros, but also some cons: the wine list is certainly good, as are the two meat-based main courses, with the duck breast a special mention. The cicchetti were significantly below expectations: dry and flavorless bread, ordinary and not-so-fresh fillings, and a pasta dish drowning in a flavorless sauce. The real sore point, besides the limited space due to overcrowding, was the service: from the start, the pressure to quickly free up the table for the next shift was palpable. Considering the relatively high prices, it leaves a less than pleasant impression.

13/11/2025: After visiting the beautiful village of Valeggio sul Mincio, we decided not to go to a typical restaurant, but instead (as we've done on other occasions) to try an artisanal pasta shop to sample typical local products. We couldn't have made a better choice! We sat in an old cellar, sharing a meal with other diners. There were three of us: my son chose the tortelli tasting menu, I opted for the tiny tortellini in broth, and my wife went straight for the grilled meats. Finally, we rounded off an excellent lunch with homemade desserts. Finally, we couldn't resist stocking up on various local products at the counter, including a mix of tortelli in various flavors. If you're passing through Valeggio (VR), you can't miss this place and enjoy these delights. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
10/11/2025: To my surprise, the tortellini and tortelli menu, which satisfies every palate, is complemented by dishes, both traditional and otherwise, prepared with excellent ingredients and expertly prepared (Patanegra ham with figs, pork cheek with polenta, grilled meat, etc.). The atmosphere is also truly welcoming. Excellent service.
