Lo Scarpone In Roma

The atmosphere is elegant yet unpretentious, with a cozy garden area perfect for long lunches or relaxed dinners under the trees. The staff were attentive, kind, and genuinely proud of what they serve, which made the whole experience even more special. If you want to escape the touristy restaurants and enjoy real Roman cuisine in a peaceful, authentic setting, Scarpone is exactly where you should go. A timeless classic that captures the true spirit of Rome.

Close to Villa Doria Panphili, a huge park worth a visit. Big restaurant with a big garden and free parking lot. Good food and pizza.

I was there in May for a ceremony, and I had a great time, the food was good, as was the service, so one day in September we decided to go as a family, unfortunately it wasn't as I remembered. The waiter who arrives after 25 minutes then brings us the menu and we wait another 20 minutes. We order, my daughter is crazy about carbonara and asks for it, unfortunately—I'm not kidding—after another 20 minutes the waiter comes back saying that the eggs were out and they couldn't prepare it; so he chooses another type of pasta. In the meantime, however, she's hungry and after an hour I ask for a focaccia, I wish I had never done that, a crumbled piece of focaccia arrives, completely burnt (I've attached a photo), which obviously we send back. We end the evening after 2 hours very dissatisfied. I hope it was just a coincidence.

Professional and friendly waiters, excellent pizza

Historic restaurant in the Monteverde area. We've been hosting large work events and various celebrations here for years. Excellent appetizers and Roman first courses! The meat is top-notch, but they're also great with their fish! Large indoor parking lot and a summer garden. Highly recommended.

The food was excellent... but they scammed us by charging us for two more dishes... we will never return and we will not recommend them.

This restaurant is very good in its genre. Traditional, ideal for a family weekend in Rome. The atmosphere is pleasant and open. The service is quick and experienced, a bit crowded, but delicious. If you live near Pamphilli, this is more than perfect.

Our first night in Italy, and we had a very good experience at the restaurant. A warm, inviting place to eat both inside and outside. The food was excellent. We mostly had pasta carbonara, gnocchi, and one other dish. The only comment about the dishes would be that the carbonara was a bit salty, but nothing that couldn't be fixed. The staff was very friendly. We were served by Danielle, and even though we spoke everything in Spanish, she understood us perfectly. The tiramisu was absolutely spectacular. Regarding the prices of the dishes, they are all very affordable and the price-performance ratio is more than reasonable. We will definitely visit again.

Antica e tradizionale trattoria romana in felice posizione al Gianicolo. Ampi spazi interni e gradevole giardino, comodo parcheggio che a Roma è una grande fortuna. Servizio perfetto, attento e cordiale e, soprattutto, veloce il giusto. Menu della tradizione romana, arricchito da proposte di pesce e carne di grande qualità. Esperienza senza sorprese negative, rilassante e cucina curata nei particolari e davvero buona. I carciofi alla romana e alla giudia strepitosi. Ciò che colpisce è il mantenimento della qualità complessiva alta da decenni! La sua caratteristica di ristorante di quartiere poi gli assicura una clientela stabile ed affezionata.
