Walking towards the Roman forum and stumbled across this restaurant that had a lot of people- decided to try it and glad we did. we ordered the bell pepper pizza and the spicy tomato penne and it was excellent. We also had the orange juice and it’s freshly squeezed and really great. If you’re in the area I would highly highly recommend it! Pricing is also great with our bill totaling 32 euros. For two plates two orange juice and a water. No pictures as we devoured everything!

The seafood dishes were excellent. Perfectly cooked, flavorful, and delicious. The salads are a house specialty. The best part was the service from Giselle, the waitress. Very attentive, quick, friendly, and spoke Spanish.

We came here five times in five days! Extremely good food and friendly service. We can highly recommend the pasta carbonara, artichoke pizza, and pasta with clams. We were very happy to find this restaurant.

We've dined here several times. We've had pasta, hamburgers, and even an omelet (quite a rarity on Italian restaurant menus)—all delicious. The staff is very friendly, especially Giselle, the beautiful, efficient waitress who speaks Spanish. The clientele is a mix of locals and tourists...very pleasant. We'll be back to try the pizzas...

30/03/2026: A definite recommendation!! We spent four evenings in Rome. We ate here on the first and last nights. The restaurants we visited in between couldn't compare to La Gianicolense. As a family of four, we tried several dishes, appetizers, and desserts from the menu: everything tasted fantastic!! The food is of very high quality – and at a truly fair price. Should we travel to Rome again, we will definitely eat here again. Thank you to the entire team at La Gianicolense for the wonderful evenings we spent with you!!

02/04/2026: The first two important ingredients upon entering: hospitality and kindness. Good food. An omnivore and a vegan, I'm not exactly the target audience for this restaurant, but we had a good time.
