A traditional Piedmontese menu with well-executed and tasty dishes: the beef tartare was excellent, the tajarin with rich ragù sauce was rich, the veal braised in Barolo was tender and flavorful, and we finished with a bunet (a typical Italian pasta dish) accompanied by a truly delicious hazelnut gelato. The price was fair for the quality and the comprehensive menu. We had lunch outside in the piazza in front of the restaurant. Service could be improved, but it was very friendly and professional. We'll definitely try again.

A hot evening at the beginning of August in ALBA where we discovered this beautiful place and where I reconciled myself with the black truffle... Bilingual staff and very welcoming owner! We opted for a Dogliani Superiore to accompany my "brasato di manzo al Barolo" and the "battuta di carne cruda all'Albese con tartufo Nero" EXCELLENT and can't wait to come back.

A very pleasant meal in the summer heat. The terrace was refreshing and peaceful. We enjoyed both the pasta and the dessert. I recommend the restaurant.

Ape Wine Bar

30/09/2025: Our visit to the APE wine bar was an all-around wonderful experience. The sommelier looked after us with great expertise and passion and recommended an excellent wine – just the thing for us. Afterwards, we were able to sample all the aperitifs in the bar and had the opportunity to purchase our favorites directly – a personal and very friendly gesture that impressed us. The food was excellent: fresh, creative, and perfectly matched to the wines. The atmosphere is warm and inviting; you immediately feel welcome. APE wine bar is a place we would gladly return to – for great wines, outstanding food, and genuine hospitality. Thank you.
27/09/2025: An excellent surprise in Alba, the sommelier was very good and knowledgeable, the cuisine was excellent, in general all the staff were very professional, a place to definitely return to.

07/08/2025: As an American living in France, I was thrilled to find somewhere that actually knows how to use a smoker! BarBees was a dream. The menu was amazing. We tried the mixed platter, the brisket, and the homemade hazelnut ice cream. It was the most beautiful marriage of American and Italian styles. You won’t regret it. Go.
