Great spot for a fabulous breakfast. Tried the square brioche with a chocolate and cream base. 10|10 plus, especially for the friendly and super-friendly staff. So, definitely worth returning. The coffee is also good.

The place is small but cozy. I went in the afternoon and unfortunately I didn't find the Cinnamon Rolls, which was the main reason I went there (I recommend going in the morning, but not too late to find them). The staff is very friendly and kind; there were two very nice young men serving us. I'm giving it 4 stars only because I found the prices a bit steep (€17 total for what you see in the photo), but otherwise everything was delicious!

I'm not giving it five stars only because the staff is truly rude. I understand there's a line outside, but not being able to sit at a table for even five minutes after finishing my meal while waiting for my friend in the bathroom seems absurd to me. In any case, the products are truly high-quality. The line was very long at 10:00 AM (we sat down at almost 11:00 AM). Unfortunately, the selection when we sat down was very limited. Takeout is recommended if you go early in the morning; sitting down isn't worth it in my opinion.

I had a great time. The staff are really kind and helpful, and they do everything they can to make you feel welcome. They have a wide selection of baked goods; I had a brioche with cream and currants, which was fantastic. I absolutely recommend it.

The pastry is top-notch, the staff is friendly, but the space is tiny... you have to arrive early to avoid the very long lines...

We had a wonderful time! The food was excellent, the custard delicious. The croissants were soft and fragrant, fluffy inside and not at all dry: a real treat.
They were extremely attentive to every detail, carefully describing the pastries and serving them at the table. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful!!!
Highly recommended. See you soon ❤️

Breakfast on site midweek. Small place with just a few tables, but very welcoming. From the moment you enter, you're captivated by the mini pastries and other sweets. Excellent leavened pastries, well-filled brioches, truly as filling as they are tasty. Friendly staff, fairly quick table service.
Reading other reviews, I was worried it would be overly crowded or with inattentive staff, but that wasn't the case. It's worth a try...and a return visit!

I wanted to try this place because the promised quality was excellent.
I'd seen negative comments about the service and staff, and, sadly, I have to confirm them.
Zero patience, zero engagement.
Even when the bar wasn't particularly busy.
They made me anxious while I was enjoying an excellent breakfast in terms of products.
They were also very confused when it came to managing the tables.
The filter coffee was good, but not special.
The croissants, I repeat, were very good.
It's a shame about the experience, because today it counts for a lot. I'm not inclined to return.

Between sweets and social media
I'd been away from the Isola neighborhood for years, but while wandering around, I came back by chance and discovered this place, L'île Douche, where sweetness, courtesy, and irony are at home.
The first impression was of the product:
high quality and a strong flavor; in a second, you know whether it's a yes or a no.
Returning, you discover a world of staff and hospitality, striving to create an atmosphere that feels like home, not a service.
In a dynamic and frenetic city like Milan, this choice is a clear invitation to savor time.
Even a quick coffee can give way to a fleeting joke.
This is where social media hit a sore point: the place quickly went viral, and the awards for the pastry shop and bar increased over the years
so much so that soon they'll have to find a larger wall to display them.
Vitality means fame. For a place that satisfies hunger and isn't hungry for fame, there's a certain irony and revolution in their desire to remain simple and courteous without putting on airs.
They let the products speak for themselves, and from the counter to the table, if they can, they share their stories with those who have a passion for motorcycles, those who have traveled the world, and those who are preparing to do so.
Fame brings crowds and long lines, and it becomes difficult for Isola Dolce to maintain its humanity and customer service. The problem, however, isn't them, in my opinion, but us, the customers.
David manages the line outside on busy days, passing by with samples and coffee.
The staff inside does their best, and while they bring humanity and professionalism, perhaps the customers sometimes seem to have forgotten their patience at home.
In short, on Isola Dolce, patience teaches you to waste time.
I recommend: Everything!
They have no weak points. Worth a try.
