13/08/2026: My wife Cristina and I dined at Girasole, sampling the Sardinian menu: an appetizer with cheeses, sausage, and local cured meats, followed by roast suckling pig with potatoes. For dessert, a "seadas" with honey. All this was accompanied by Cannonau Contini (the Oristano red paired with the "porcetto") and a special Vermentino (mixed with a touch of Vernaccia di Oristano) to elevate the seadas. A glass of very cold Mirto, bearing the island's trademark, was the obligatory conclusion to an excellent Sardinian dinner in the Veneto region! (Perhaps it's better to say "Sabbia" since we're by the sea 😂)
First of all, congratulations to the Chef for perfectly cooking the "porceddu": incredibly tender, light, and with a crunchy, flavorful crust. The baked potatoes paired with it were perfect and firm. The cheese and sausage were truly excellent. The seadas with honey were delicious. With Cannonau (13.5°), Vermentino (13°), and Mirto (32°), we "evened out" with the weather of this incredible summer of 2026!!! 🥵🥵🥵 The young waitresses and waiters were brave and tireless, quickly satisfying a room full of hungry tourists. Well done, Gea, for her presence in the dining room and for the discreet and authentic family welcome she gave to all the guests at Girasole: a rare gift to find in places of "mass" tourism. In Jesolo, a City of Tourism, the spirit of "warm hospitality" endures over time, and this is a great fortune! 🏆🔟♥️
11/08/2026: The place is a bit small, but overall, we had good food at a great price. We'll be back!
