Lido Paina In Malcesine

The best thing about this restaurant is definitely the beautiful waterfront location with a view of the castle. We came extra early in the evening and even got a place right by the water without a reservation, which we were very grateful for. Unfortunately, the food was rather mediocre, at least the tuna pizza and the truffle pasta - we've had much better food on Lake Garda. Prices are okay for the location. The service was friendly, but not outstanding.

Wir sind am Abend der Anreise dort eingekehrt und hatten Glück mit einem Tisch am See. Traumhafte Aussicht, das Essen war wirklich gut, am Service "scheiden sich etwas die Geister". Es gibt Unterschiede in der Freundlichkeit, wir hatten an diesem Abend einen sehr netten Service, am nächsten Tag war eine etwas brummelige Bedienung für uns zuständig. Aber insgesamt kann man das Lokal empfehlen.

A very good dining restaurant. Outdoor terrace, right on the lake. Inconspicuous from the outside, acceptable from the inside. Lots of fish dishes

From the outside it was a bit inconspicuous, since we didn't want to search for long we went in. I ordered fish, pizza, wine and a Legger's Stiegl. We were super satisfied, so we came back the next evening. It was autumn and already quite cool, so we sat inside and had a wonderful view of the lake. We thought it was great value for money.... 👍😎😉

Very nice location by the water. Worth it for lunch. My Pizza Diavola was excellent and well topped. Unfortunately, my friend's tortelloni was a bit boring.

The restaurant is located directly on the lake next to a beach bar. We wouldn't have considered it because of the location and only tried it based on the good reviews. Spoiler: we were here twice and are happy to have put aside the prejudice. The view is great and that's why the restaurant is always full. So if you want to sit right by the water, you should make a reservation a few days in advance and ask when making your reservation. Unfortunately, this was not always communicated to us. We had fish dishes and they were good and tasty. Once also wine and dessert, everything was great. There is still room for improvement in terms of staff. Some employees are great and attentive, but not all of them. If you work on it, your next visit will be even better.

Excellent sunset meal, highly recommended! Right on the water, super romantic! We were there with our dog this evening, it was great!!!

Wir kamen auf die Empfehlung eines Freundes, welcher diese Lokalität sehr empfohlen hat. Also Tisch reserviert und auf zum Restaurant. Ich muss, zur Verteidigung des Restaurants, sagen, dass Dauerregen war, die Aussenbestuhlung nicht belegt werden konnte, und das übliche Flair von : „ Sonne, Sonne überall …“ darum nicht Teil unseres Besuchs war. Aber: Leider strahlte das Haus nicht vor Innovation. Die Vorspeise Bruschetta war keksig und trocken, die Pizza eher Durchschnitt und nichts besonderes und selbst der Grappa „aufs Haus“ war (auch wenn sehr freundlich und nett gemeint) aber wirklich sehr schlecht. Schade, schade wir kommen leider nicht wieder und denken, dass dieses Restaurant bei gutem Wetter durchaus eine Chance auf 4 oder mehr Sterne hat. Dann aber eher wegen des wirklich sehr guten Vino und Espressos, der Lage und der netten Bedienung, welche am Ende auch der Grund für die 3 Sterne ist.
