I tried this restaurant on a Sunday lunch with family and friends. The food was average, home-style. We had a truffle-based lunch.

This summer we had the pleasure of dining at the Leon d'Oro Restaurant in Canale d'Alba, and the experience was truly unforgettable. The atmosphere is welcoming and meticulously crafted, perfect for making you feel at ease. A huge compliment goes to chef Irene, who showcases local products with balanced, creative, and authentically flavorful dishes. Each course was meticulously crafted, not only in flavor but also in presentation. A special thanks to Ilaria, the owner, and the head waiter, who welcomed us with professionalism and kindness: their passion shines through in every attention they give to their guests. We had a wonderful time and will definitely return: a place we recommend to anyone seeking quality, authenticity, and hospitality.

Historic place run in a splendid way, excellent food seasoned with a lot of friendliness

We had an excellent lunch here. Very Good original Piemontese kitchen. One of the dishes we had was gnocchi (made from purple potatoes) with zucchini and cheese. Best gnocchi we had ! Also the Plum was great (as well as the antipasti). Highly recommended and the lady who runs the restaurant is very nice and helpful (speaks well English).

The restaurant is showing its age, but the landlady is very friendly and gives her all. We had a very pleasant conversation with her. The food is typically local and very good. The value for money is very good. Please note: No longer a hotel. Only a restaurant.
