Super delicious!!! The cheesecake and lemon were both incredibly tasty, and they went together perfectly. The owner was incredibly nice!!! And it's very close to the Vatican Museums.

It's been renamed and is now called gelato. Two scoops are 3.5 (the normal price). The mango and lemon ones are good; the lemon gets a bit sour towards the end, but the sweet ones are a perfect complement.

Everything was wonderful, you should try mango and nutella ice creams. Also Spanish girl (sorry did not know her name) was so kind and helpful. Best ice cream ever!

It seems to be a chain with several stores, but we felt the balance between price and taste was very good. We had gelato, but there were several locals there for coffee, so the coffee might be good too!

The gelato is good, but the true excellence of this place is the service, truly rare! I find the Achilles heel of Roman restaurants to be service, so today when I was greeted with courtesy and professionalism by the young man at the counter (whom I later learned was Andrea), I was pleasantly surprised. I'm an entrepreneur myself (in a different industry), and I know that the best company in the world is worthless if the wrong person is serving it. In this case, the choice couldn't have been more perfect.

06/01/2026: A great restaurant and pizzeria offering traditional Roman dishes like Gricia and Carbonara, lamb, Jewish-style artichokes, thin-crust pizzas, delicious appetizers, and exquisite desserts. We loved the fried zucchini flowers, cacio e pepe supplì, fried pizzetta, Margherita pizza with buffalo mozzarella, crema catalana, and tiramisu. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is casual.
28/12/2025: At "Er Gallo Nero" we enjoyed dishes that embody the heart of Roman dining: authenticity, family warmth, and recipes executed to perfection.

16/01/2026: Typical family atmosphere, a Roman eatery. Good, home-style cooking. I had fettuccine with black truffle (Tartufo nero). For dessert, apple strudel with vanilla ice cream. Everything was delicious.
21/12/2025: Four days trying different restaurants, this was undoubtedly the best. Run by the owner himself, the food is fresh and truly authentic (not a tourist trap). The service, the ingredients, the preparation, the prices—everything was perfect. I can't wait to go back!
