Wonderful experience. I visited the restaurant for lunch with friends. An unusual vegetarian meal, with touches of plant-based ingredients that enhanced the dishes. Locally sourced products. Guided by the very kind Andrea, who explained the dishes and the ingredients used, we were treated to a tasting experience that truly immersed us in the local area. Highly recommended.

L'Elisir del Poeta isn't just a restaurant, just as dining here isn't just a meal. It's a journey where Andrea and his wife lead you through the wonders of their fantastic territory, all within the intimacy of just four tables (this time we were even alone!). This is my third time back, and it's always a great pleasure, so I encourage everyone passing through the area to treat themselves to this magical place. I've been back to Santo Stefano di Sessanio twice now, especially to dine there, and each time is special. See you next time!

In questo magico borgo è presente un ristorante altrettanto magico, unico nel suo genere, diretto da marito e moglie, Andrea (in sala) e Barbara (in cucina). Entrambi sono innamorati del proprio lavoro e trasmettono questo amore ai commensali. Cucina “semplice” con un menù unico che sa di storia e natura. Grazie Barbara, grazie Andrea della piacevolissima esperienza, non solo culinaria, che ci avete fatto fare.

19/10/2025: Recommended place not only for the quality food but also for its kind and welcoming owner. We started with the very good appetizer and moved on to the main course, which was also worth it... but man, the steak is unbeatable, it was excellent quality and huge. Not happy! 🫣 He brought us arrosticini, and we practically ate one after another until we lost count because they were so good. 😜🤩 The dessert was a delight for the palate. The place is in a strategic location, you can admire the castle. What can I say... Gianpiero, you won us over.

16/11/2025: My favorite restaurant in Rocca di Cambio, we've become regulars here, and we always go there. The owners are super friendly, and the food is truly delicious!
30/08/2025: At this restaurant, you can savor traditional Abruzzo cuisine in a slightly more refined and sophisticated atmosphere than other local restaurants. Their game appetizer, featuring top-quality cured meats, is definitely worth trying. It's plentiful and paired with a "cooked" antipasto featuring a variety of delicious dishes. The first courses were generous, especially the fettuccine with creamy porcini mushrooms and fresh truffle. However, the roe deer-filled ravioli was a bit thick and tough, and the chopped tomatoes on top didn't really add much to the dish. They also offer a wide selection of meat-based main courses, but we preferred the first courses. A wide and interesting selection of desserts, including the truly superb amarena brittle. The girls who served us were knowledgeable, kind, and above all, quick!! We'll definitely be back one evening to try their pizza, which looks delicious.
