The hotel is deserted, but the thermal baths by the river are wonderful. The water rises from the earth at temperatures up to 80 degrees Celsius. There are various opportunities on both sides of the river to rub yourself with healing mud and relax in warm pools. A beautiful place.

The hotel no longer exists, but is guarded by the military/police. Extremely unfriendly, if not worse. The hot springs by the river are fantastic. Simply bathe in a stone pool. Wonderful. What was written here, with water draining out of the wall..., isn't true. There are thermal springs everywhere. There's also one under the hotel, which is drained away. Still clean, it just happens to be there. But also everywhere in the water in the river. Just try it, but be careful, it's super hot in places!

The hotel has been closed for several years, but there's a nearby area where you can camp and park to enjoy the hot springs! They're wonderful.

In May the hotel and restaurant were closed. But we didn't need them because we could sunbathe and soak in hot water by the river.

05/06/2025: Non ho le parole giuste per esprimere la mia soddisfazione. Eravamo in quattro, abbiamo ordinato gli stessi piatti, tutti hanno apprezzato la classica bruschetta (bruscata alla perfezione), i crostini toscani con fegato e milza, pici all'all'aglione, peposo. Il servizio è impeccabile e soprattutto cortese e molto amichevole, l'oste (Albo) è il classico toscano che stabilisce subito un rapporto amichevole e verace. un pranzo nel giardino è un'esperienza che va ripetuta più volte. Vale il viaggio.
07/05/2025: Un pequeño restaurante de propiedad familiar en el pequeño pueblo de Montefollinico. Nuestra primera visita al Valle de la Toscana comenzó con esta excelente comida. Llegamos a nuestra hora de reserva y fuimos recibidos cálidamente por Aldo (supongo que es el propietario). Habla un inglés limitado, pero es capaz de transmitir claramente su punto de vista con gestos y palabras animados. Pedimos el cacio de pepe preparado en su rueda de queso y compartimos filete florentino. ¡Ni decepcionado! Las recomendaciones de vino fueron puntuales, junto con un postre delicioso. ¡Esta es una joya escondida!
