The only reason to visit is to see one of the rooms that still has walls from what must have been an old church. The service is slow and not very friendly. Drinks are a bit pricey but good.

If you're looking for a place that combines atmosphere, style, and hospitality, Le Stanze in Bologna is truly a gem. The location is simply fantastic: elegant, evocative, and instantly makes you feel special. The staff is super friendly, the food excellent; we had the bruschetta with ragù and the tagliata al sale nero, which I highly recommend. And then there's the owner... the real icing on the cake. In short, a place you'll want to return to—and leave already wanting more!

It's difficult to impress the guests with a salad, but l'insalata dello chef was the best salad I've ever eat! Impressive place, lovely staff. We will certainly return!

28/05/2026: We stopped for lunch. The first courses were excellent, as were the desserts. The staff were friendly and smiling.
19/03/2026: It's a restaurant open only at lunchtime, popular with workers. It's a simple and unpretentious place, but in its simplicity, it offers truly delicious dishes, clearly made with love, not for profit. Even the bulk wine, which I'm often afraid of, is decent and easy to drink. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 only because the place, which has deliberately remained stuck in the 1960s and 1970s, is a good choice. As for the food, 5 stars.
