We only had one plate of pasta each: very good penne alla Norcia.
Too bad they didn't bring us bread or even knives.
Overall, given the peak time and the very crowded place, we have nothing to complain about because the dishes arrived within 10 minutes.

We came in by chance while looking for another recommended restaurant. The place is very characteristic with its arches and stone walls

Ristorante carino nella location, un po strettini i tavoli, ma trovandosi sul corso principale, cerca di fare molto veloce per fare almeno 3 turni a tavolo. Cibo buono, ottima polenta con ragù. Prezzi corretti con la media. Personale cordiale

My Italian husband, adult son, and I went for dinner in this charming cantina restaurant and had a great time! Assisi is a very touristy town - especially at Christmas and Easter - so there may be times when they get swamped, but our food was great, the wine was delicious, and the service excellent. We had a table next to the open-hearth fireplace, which was relaxing and cozy. Perfect for a dark December night in Umbria.
