Delicious, I tried the maritozzo perugino and I would have eaten 10 more. Very fresh cream and super good.

This historic dairy has always been a go-to place for me since I was a teenager, when we'd come here with friends for breakfast or a snack. Today it's much busier, and you can tell: the place is small and the tables are so close together that the people sitting before us had to get up to make room for us. That said, the quality is unquestionable: the brioche and maritozzi with cream are truly excellent, and that's why we keep coming back.

But the real reason to come here is the maritozzo con la panna: a light and fluffy brioche filled with fresh whipped cream, perfect with a coffee or cappuccino. A sublime experience you can't miss!

Antica Latteria is a gem from another era. Recommended by friends from Perugia, I absolutely confirm the quality of the whipped cream, light and just the right amount of sweet (so not too much), and of the other products we tried. A real must is the maritozzo, perfectly leavened and expertly filled with the legendary cream. I give everything 5 stars for specific reasons: the food is high-quality and delicious, the service is friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is certainly not modern, but it has that old-fashioned feel that we've learned not to dismiss as dated but rather appreciate as original and an expression of a period that's now back in fashion. A sincere place, I'd say, where the personality of Mr. Umberto stands out, "85 years old and 70 behind the counter, madam," kind, smiling, friendly, a delight of a man, like his whipped cream. A must-visit in Perugia for breakfast and a sweet break.
