It is now the sixth time, in the last 6 years, that I have returned to Bar à fromage. The service is always excellent, this time we also added a nice platter of local cured meats and cheeses to the raclette, followed by really good desserts.
In my opinion the restaurant is among the best in the Aosta Valley, for the food, the service, the environment and the windows overlooking the slopes.

Stunning place, beautiful view and fantastic food, well-trained staff.
Surely if you go to Cogne you can't help but stop and taste what the Bar a Fromage offers.
I recommend it you will not be disappointed.

Posto tipico, ristorante fra i migliori di Cogne. Abbiamo con difficoltà trovato un tavolo pur prenotando con largo anticipo la raclette tradizionale è davvero molto buona! I dolci meritano l’assaggio.

All very good, too bad the prices are too excessive, a Valle d'Aosta escalope made to perfection, but €76 for 2 people, i.e. €38 each and served with dippers and a measly green salad, disappointed me a bit......

Locale accogliente, curato, pulito, ricco di dettagli della storia e tradizione valdostana. Atmosfera calda, rustica in modo raffinato ed elegante. Personale professionale, accogliente, gentile, che ci ha fatto sentire coccolati per tutta le cena. Esperienza culinaria fantastica; noi abbiamo apprezzato la zuppa di Cogne e la degustazione di formaggi.
Assolutamente da consigliare e da ripetere!

My new restaurant of happiness...a fairytale restaurant! Every detail is taken care of: the paintings, the ornaments... The convivial dishes are as sumptuous as the cheese trolley and the joy at the table is as crackling as the logs in the fireplace. Thank you for a wonderful evening
to the staff who in Aosta Valley costume, like elves, are careful that everything is perfect.

Warm welcome with a welcome drink and a complimentary appetizer. The traditional “Favo” and trout pasta, fresh and prepared before our eyes, was exceptional. The anchovy-vegetable starter and the perfect homemade panettone enhanced this meal. Old chalet atmosphere, attentive service, and superb dishes: an authentic and memorable experience.
