complement montagnard, le décor les tenues et les mets proposés , tout y est délicieux, la fondue, la viande les desserts dont le fameux sabayon effectué devant vous un régal

Location molto bella, caratteristica di un ristorante di montagna. Camerieri molto cordiali ed accoglienti, vestiti con abiti caratteristici di montagna. Ottimo cibo, di qualità. Prezzo giusto per la qualità ricevuta. Tornati dopo un paio di anni sempre molto bello.

It is now the sixth time, in the last 6 years, that I have returned to Bar à fromage. The service is always excellent, this time we also added a nice platter of local cured meats and cheeses to the raclette, followed by really good desserts. In my opinion the restaurant is among the best in the Aosta Valley, for the food, the service, the environment and the windows overlooking the slopes.

Stunning place, beautiful view and fantastic food, well-trained staff. Surely if you go to Cogne you can't help but stop and taste what the Bar a Fromage offers. I recommend it you will not be disappointed.

All very good, too bad the prices are too excessive, a Valle d'Aosta escalope made to perfection, but €76 for 2 people, i.e. €38 each and served with dippers and a measly green salad, disappointed me a bit......

15/06/2025: A timeless place, decorated in the purest tradition with great care. A warm welcome and high-quality service. An incredible menu featuring local and seasonal produce. A must-see in the region.
12/06/2025: We absolutely loved this place and the welcome. The room was ultra-comfortable, with a whirlpool tub, ultra-quiet, and a beautiful bar. The bedding was perfect. A surprise meal with a divine wine pairing. The produce was local, grown, and treated with respect. Each dish was explained its origin and history. The two sisters who served us made us feel at home, sharing stories about their family. We were able to visit and chat with the chef, who is passionate about his work. At breakfast, we left with a selection of pastries and each a box of cookies. Thank you so much for sharing, which brought tears to my eyes.
