I booked a day in advance, I was welcomed very well by Mr. Antonio, super welcoming atmosphere. The food was delicious. One of the best meals I've ever eaten on this trip. I will definitely come back.

Das Restaurant ist wunderschön wie viele andere auch in Matera durch die mega Lage teilweise in den Felsen, Das Servicepersonal lässt keine Wünsche offen. Tischwein sehr gut. Jetzt kommen wir zum essen! Das Kalbschnitzel meiner Frau war sehr gut, leider muss man alle Beilagen extra bestellen, sonst hat man nur das Stück Fleisch auf dem Teller liegen. Ich habe Lammkoteletts bestellt, an denen waren leider zweidrittel Knochen, viel Fett, sehr wenig gutes Fleisch, da hätte ich auf jeden Fall mehr erwartet. Das sonstige essen der anderen Gäste sah auch sehr gut aus. Die Auswahl an Restaurants ist in Matera riesig...

Very nice place, authentic food. They had local meat options: pork or beef, cooked in different ways. For starter we ordered the antipasto di giorno, it was a salty cake with salami piccante and served with tomato sauce. Very delicious! We ordered the beef cooked with D.O.C. red wine and the dish of the day which was orecchiette with fave sauce (a type of beans) and local mushrooms. And we ordered vino della casa, wine of the house, all delicious. They had a cake with oranges and pepper, with a peculiar taste but not for everyone, it was spicy for me but my bf liked it. I ordered sufle with pistacchio, which was the highlight of the meal for me it was sooo goood! They offered when we finish, the liqueur called “amerino”, served in freezed glasses. Nice touch 👌🏼 The staff was very kind and since we were practicing Italian, they understood and instead of switching to English, they were speaking slowly in italian so we could understand :) That was very nice of them.

Excellent service, genuine food and very friendly hosts. Highly recommended if you're in Matera.

We liked it a lot. Apart from the pasta they have good meat. The presentation of the antipasto is very original. Good winery at reasonable prices

Avevamo sentito lodare questa Osteria nel pomeriggio dalla nostra guida nel Parco della Murgia e così, la sera, passandoci casualmente proprio davanti, abbiamo deciso di provarla. Ottima scelta. Ambiente familiare e caratteristico, riscaldato, con fossili incastrati nei conci di calcarenite; servizio gentile e veloce; ottimo cibo tipico, tra cui spicca, per i miei gusti, il pancotto con rape e peperone crusco e il tortino di pane con frutta e crema di agrumi. Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo: per due antipasti, due primi, due dolci, due birre, l'acqua e il servizio, abbiamo speso poco più di 30 euro a testa. Osteria consigliata.
