Perfect. The food is excellent and the Aperol, fresh and delicious, is the best. Plus, the service was very welcoming.

Good food but not the best in the block. The younger waiter was awesome!

I want to just preface this by saying that I don't really leave google ratings at all. A work colleague recommended this place. We went in with no expectations except that their carbonara is good. Suffice to say that we were blown away in every sense, from the food to the hospitality to the restaurant itself. I'll start with the one thing that truly counts - FOOD: The bruschetta trio was so good we had to get some more. If you like garlic make sure to get the basic one. After which we were given a little cup full of green olives from Puglia, which were delicious and a great snack before the pasta came and I don’t even like green olives. While suppli was great, it takes a very long time to come, so make sure that you order it first, as ours arrived around the time the pasta did. Both of us ordered carbonara and I don't think I ever had a better one. It comes in a cheese nest which is more for decoration than anything else and yet I found myself snacking away at it until I had an empty plate. I followed that up with an espresso and a piece of the torta della nonna from their dessert fridge which was also delicious and fresh. The next thing would be the HOSPITALITY: We were served by Aureliano, a young sprite lad who made sure that we had everything that we needed. Even though he was unsure whether they had Cynar for a Cynar Spritz that I ordered, he made sure to see and make me one if they do. Even though it was the first time he made one, it was great. The hearty boss of the place was also incredibly friendly and made sure we were taken care of. If you order a mixed drink, they might come out strong, be careful haha. The AMBIENCE: Imagine you stepped into a family-owned restaurant in the Italian countryside. Exposed bricks, an AC that isn't really working that well, an electrical fuse that pops probably due to too many stovetops being turned on at once and a toilet that has seen better days. And yet, you feel like you are at your second home, served by your family and being fed the food of your life and slowly all of these issues aren’t problems anymore but small quirks of your family home. We left the place with a strong handshake with the boss, that's how much we liked it. This place is an absolute gem and we will definitely be coming again on our next trip to Rome.

One of my favourite restaurants in Rome

The space isn't very large, but it's welcoming, clean, and refined. The service, led by Daniele, was impeccable, attentive, and courteous. The food was delicious; we took advice from the owner, Gabriele, who was able to satisfy our craving for traditional Roman dishes. I'll definitely be back.

Extraordinary food and service. The Carbonara was spectacular. Don't hesitate to come.
