L'Aratro In Alberobello

While walking through the picturesque Alberobello we came across this restaurant on Monte San Michele Street and stopped for lunch. Although we had not made a reservation, they welcomed us without any difficulty and we thank them for that. Passing by trulli rooms, they led us to a closed patio with a view of the surrounding trulli, although we would have preferred a table in an authentic trulli. The service was fast, the food very good and beautifully presented. We were impressed by the owner of the shop who, with his ubiquitous colorful clothes, wandered from table to table, creating an atmosphere that looked more like a tourist show. When leaving, they gave us a magnet as a gift showing the facade of the restaurant.

Amazing 😍 surrounded by trulli with excellent service and top-quality products! The traditional appetizer is very rich and the orecchiette are something fabulous.

A charming place, with traditional dishes revisited with excellent local ingredients. The real gem is the owner, a wonderful orator and custodian of the local culture. In short, a must-see!

Exquisite dishes, I recommend the cavatellucci on a cream of fava beans with cherry tomatoes and capocollo. Impeccable service, the owner is a rare find, you'll find out why!!!!!

The service is impeccable! It can’t be beat. They are friendly and attentive without hovering. The wine service was informed and entertaining. The food was served promptly, hot, and all at once. The meals were heavenly spiced and featured foods of the region. We enjoyed it so much we had dined there our second night. They some how recognized us , it is very busy, and comped us a free limoncello. The decor is lovely and warm, and uniquely situated inside a couple of Trullio. Definitely call ahead- they book up quickly.

We have been in southeastern Italy for six days now this was by far the best Italian restaurant we’ve been to. The food was amazing. We had a 10 course appetizer that came out which was like having an amazing tasting of all the flavors of the locals. we did not research this. We were just told by one of the shopkeepers where to go when we asked that we wanted a really special experience. Meet the chef/owner and let him pick the food for you. That’s what I did and it was amazing.

Se sentía como un intento de distraerse de la comida deslucida. Definitivamente caro por lo que obtienes. Si estás buscando auténtica cocina apuliana, te sugiero explorar los lugares locales menos conocidos fuera del centro turístico. Este lugar parece más interesado en el rendimiento que en la excelencia culinaria.
