L'Angolo del Buongustaio In Castiglione del lago

Excellent place, we were with the whole family, 2 adults and 4 children and the staff was so kind to cook us 2 pasta dishes in the restaurant opposite (also owned by them), the cutting board we took was exquisite, many varieties of cured meats, cheeses with excellent jams. Recommended!!!

What remains typical is a bit rare everywhere now, the touristic/commercial imprint is now total. The wines, if you don't spend at least €25, better nothing, I didn't like the carpaccio.

We were in the historic center of Castiglione del Lago and stopped at this magnificent bistro… we ate like a god, between the gourmet platter, the fondue and the traditional crostino I don't know which was better. I will definitely be back, congratulations 🔝

We had dinner in this very nice place. In the center of the historic center, the dishes were good and well-prepared. I recommend Tris of Tartare and Truffle Fondue. The staff is young, very courteous and easy-going. I also saw an excellent selection of wines that I did not have the pleasure of tasting, however. I recommend!

Ci siamo dirette in questo “angolo del buongusto” convinte dalle ottime recensioni lette… e non posso che scriverne a mia volta un’altra! Abbiamo preso un Tagliere del Solitario in due, che conteneva assaggi di cinta senese, finocchiona e altri salumi tipici umbro-toscani insieme a un assaggio di pecorino di tre diverse stagionature. Il tutto accompagnato dalla tipica torta al testo e pane. La mia amica ha poi preso un cestino con stracciatella e scaglie di tartufo e io un crostino (che in realtà erano tanti crostini) con lardo di cinta senese e scaglie di tartufo. Tutto squisito! Non abbiamo bevuto vino ma ho potuto notare che la selezione era alquanto vasta e interessante. Consigliatissimo per un ottimo pasto nel borgo di Castiglione!

Durante una serata piovosa ci siamo fermati in questo locale. Abbiamo mangiato un antipasto del solitario, una ribollita e una burrata con crudo... tutto soddisfacente. Particolarità del locale è la vendita di prodotti locali.
