Cozy place along the Scalea seafront with alfresco dining. Easy parking off season, it might get packed during summer. Food is generally good and looks fresh, but the Ancora starter features salmon which is a weird choice given the location... Overall good quality, service could be better, but it is acceptable.

The two of us had dinner at l'Ancora yesterday Sunday evening, and although the season is slowly over, the l'Ancora crew doesn't seem to be tired of (tourists). We received excellent advice from the boss (an excellent pasta, which he recommended to us for menù, as well as an excellent pesce del giorno) and were served in an extremely friendly manner by the cameriera. And the whole thing right by the sea. The 5 stars are more than deserved and we will definitely go by again.

Good seaside restaurant in Scalea, generous portions and fresh fish. Service a little slow even though the restaurant was not full. For an appetizer, two first courses and water we spent €65.

09/12/2024: A must stop on the 106. Signature pastries and excellent coffee. Inviting rotisserie and over 50 bathrooms. It's difficult to find refreshment points like this in southern Italy. Highly recommended!
