Today we were invited by friends who were celebrating their golden wedding anniversary. The appetizer was excellent and plentiful. The mushroom reduction and excellent ravioli with meat sauce... The steak with baked potatoes was excellent... The mascarpone dessert... In short, everything was super. Incredible service.

I went for dinner one evening with my family, and it exceeded my expectations; the place is very large and spacious, the staff is organized, friendly, and very quick with orders. We only tried the pizza, which was definitely good, but I especially appreciated the wide selection of dishes and pizzas for all tastes. The only advice I have is to enhance the exterior of the place more and add photos of the rooms on Google/the website.

A lovely surprise in the center of Scandicci. A casual place, perfect for quick business lunches. Truly delicious dishes. I tried the excellent fish. The salmon crostini and tuna steak were exquisite. It's a shame I couldn't try the wines. I'll be back. Highly recommended.

A pizzeria in the Scandicci area, nothing memorable. The pizza is good but average, the service is friendly if a bit disorganized, and the place is decidedly dated. Overall, though, I'd call it a decent place, open late, and offering a fair price-quality ratio. If you're hungry and don't have too many expectations, and you're in the area, you certainly won't be disappointed.

Last night, since we live in the area, we decided to try the seafood. Extraordinary linguine with seafood, grilled seafood, and dessert. They kindly brought us an excellent focaccia (baked in a wood-fired oven) to accompany the dishes. The linguine was fabulous, the fish was truly well-cooked, and the portion was generous. The grilled seafood? A spectacle. We'll obviously be back again and again and again. Oh, and while we were there, I also checked out the pizzas... well, they were amazing. Book a table and enjoy!

20/04/2025: Solía venir durante muchos años a este lugar antes del Covid y siempre fue acogedor y amable. Grandes vinos y platos pequeños. Volvió este año y ha cambiado con el turismo excesivo y la gente grosera de la puerta principal. Lamentablemente se ha descubierto y no la misma vibra.
03/03/2025: Sono stata da le Volpi e l’uva con amici a pranzo durante il mio soggiorno a Firenze. Ho trovato eccezionale il crostone con prosciutto cotto, mozzarella, pomodoro e senape della casa che ho accompagnato con un buonissimo Sangiovese. Ottimo anche il crostone con lardo di colonnata e pomodoro. Per concludere il pranzo ho assaggiato dei favolosi cantucci con vin santo. Servizio competente e cordiale.

Il Ristorante La Palagina

22/08/2025: Famiglia Gori is truly breathtaking. The grounds are beautifully maintained, with a convenient parking area including two EV charging stations, and there's a beautiful pool where you can truly unwind. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is also well-prepared. However, there are a few things that make the experience less complete. The maintenance of the (bath)rooms could be better, and it's a good idea to check the menu beforehand: there's a relatively large amount of offal and game, which might not be to everyone's taste. It's also worth noting that there's an additional charge for new pool towels and that there's no evening bar. The price-quality ratio is excellent, but unfortunately, my stay didn't quite live up to the expectations initially raised by the location. Other guests who have returned after a long absence confirmed the same disappointments on these points. In short: a beautiful place with potential, but unfortunately, I don't see a reason to return.
22/08/2025: Charming place, well-kept, quality Tuscan cuisine. I highly recommend it.
