Characteristic and very nice place, just outside the center of Bologna. Festive lunch with friends on a very summer Saturday.
Order 500g of tagliatelle with meat sauce: truly succulent; pulverized in zero minutes. Then off to the platters with the cold cuts and cheeses, with the squacquerone and the tomato and onion jam, the lard; tigelle and gnocchi fried as if it were raining. To eat by the bucketload. And too bad the schnitzel was finished.
Meanwhile, more rain, Lambrusco.
Fair menu prices, totally unknown due to a generous friend.
The truth is that the service was very slow, we received the first course after about forty minutes. Hunger skyrocketing.
The other truth is that the staff was kind and super helpful, they even waited - as long as possible - for the latecomers to reach us.
Great first impression. Absolutely coming back.

I discovered this restaurant one evening when the one where I usually go to eat crescentine was full. It was a very pleasant discovery and I will definitely return to try the other traditional Bolognese dishes. Nice to see a typical restaurant in a suburban neighborhood without having to go crazy going into the center or up into the hills, and what's more in a beautiful renovated farmhouse with an outdoor garden.

Very nice look and fantastic personnel, to start with the positives. And, very remarkable as well, crescentine and tigelle are absolutely good - better than good: they are superior.
Where the place fell short of expectations, this time, was in the selection of cuts accompanying them: salami, bacon and mortadella were good, ham not really impressive, lardo di colonnata surprisingly tasteless while it's normally one of the tastiest cuts you can get. Pesto montanaro as well was too little spices in too much fat. Last, the mascarpone had also whipped egg white inside and not just the yolk... which, I admit, it's a matter of taste, I utterly dislike it but somebody else may like it, just be aware.
In a nutshell, with some more focus on the quality of the cuts the place could climb back to the five stars place I remember it used to be, at least for tigelle & crescentine eaters. This time they disappointed me a bit.

Locale carino, siamo stati in due a cena e all'aperto anche se ha disponibilità di tavoli all'interno; consiglio i piatti tipici bolognesi che sono molto buoni e del vino. Il tempo di attesa tra una pietanza e l'altra è buono seppur affollato. Se capite qui vicino, e vi piacciono i locali tipici, allora questo è consigliato.

Locale carino, tipica atmosfera da trattoria Bolognese.
Vino buono ed economico, primi molto buoni ma sembravano riscaldati (per la temperatura). Tagliere con tigelle e crescentine buono, ma formaggi inesistenti (una fettina soltanto).
Servizio approssimativo, frettoloso e personale molto poco preparato.
Non ci tornerei.
