Very elegant service done by kind and highly professional young people. Beautiful environment and furnishings. Refined cuisine that perfectly satisfies the palate. Varied menu as well as an excellent wine list. The amuse-bouche of a fake tomato is excellent. Highest quality cold cuts and cheeses. Exceptional Chianina steak. The tagliatelle with Montepulciano wine with courgettes, salted ricotta and bacon are very good. To finish, an amuse of mandarin and lime pearls with fabulous yusu sauce! The grappa is also excellent. Excellent quality/price ratio. Highly recommended!

In the heart of Montepulciano, this refined and welcoming restaurant will surprise you with its originality and the sought-after quality of its dishes.
We tasted Pane e Cipolla, an onion soup revisited in a divine way where the softness of the vegetable becomes crispy in its caramelized version and bathes in a skillfully flavored broth.
Then, it was spoiled for choice. Our choice might seem wise – Tagliata di chianina alla brace cpn selezione di sali”, accompanied by chard sautéed in olive oil, garlic and chili pepper (light); however the cooking and flavor of this piece of meat are unforgettable.
The appetizer and the final, exquisite treats.

I reserved a table for the birthday of my girlfriend and unluckily we did not make it due to traffic and a crash on the way there. However, I have to say that the owners seem to put their heart blood in this restaurant. They even had prepared a birthday cake for my girlfriend & held the table as long as possible until it was sure we would not make it. We would have loved to eat here, the food looks so good. If the service and the people are even halfway as friendly and motivated as I experienced it, I can only give my recommendation to anyone who is looking for a special experience. We will for sure give it another try when we return & hope they will welcome us with the same enthusiasm again as they would have the first time!

This restaurant could aim for a Michelin star! We ate very well: we were welcomed without a reservation, the first course was an entrée, the Chianina steak was fabulous. I think their strong point is the first courses... and the sparkling chocolate for dessert 😍 super recommended!

Situé dans le merveilleux village de Montepulciano, le restaurant L'Altro Cantuccio revisite avec brio bon nombre de plats toscans typiques. Si la salle à manger, bien que typique, ne nous a guère enthousiasmé, il en va tout à fait autrement avec nos plats tous délicieux et pour certains présentés avec beaucoup d'originalité comme entre autres le dessert "Sottobosco". Carte des vins complète, service correct, bref un incontournable si vous êtes à Monteplulciano.

Una cena perfetta.. location elegante, ma informale, personale gentilissimo, preparato e attento, ma non pressante .. un menu veramente valido e particolare, pietanze una più buona dell'altra a partire dal Tacos, alla battuta di carne, ai primi. Gli abbinamenti di ingredienti apparentemente diversi da loro regala al palato una piacevole sorpresa . Per finire i dolci che sono dei piccoli capolavori. Non da meno la presentazione. Complimenti a tutto lo staff.
