We had a superb meal on January 1, 2025. Chef Matia Putzulu plays with textures and flavor combinations like a Maestro. This restaurant certainly deserves its place on the list of one hundred places of excellence in Italy.
The wine list is also magnificent.
We will be back during our next visit to the region.

I want to thank the owners of this restaurant for their fairness. On holiday in Montepulciano for the holidays, after having booked for four people for New Year's Eve dinner, unfortunately we had to cancel the reservation almost at the last minute due to a serious family death that occurred on the morning of December 31st. I was charged nothing even though it was their right for the lost income. At the first opportunity we will not fail to have lunch or dinner in this place whose reviews are very positive.

A beautiful dining experience with incredible food with stunning presentation and excellent service in a lovely location. The duck and pigeon ravioli were delicious, and the desserts were beautiful. I would highly recommend!

Amazing! Amazing! Amazing! Great find in Montepulciano. The food was not only delicious but the presentation was impeccable. Every single dish we ordered was full of taste. Don’t miss out the Smoked tartare! The best tartare ever.

Enchanting place with attention to the smallest details, the presentation of the dishes is done with skill and the staff is to be commended, in particular Matteo who illustrates the dishes with elegance and knowledge, without ever being intrusive, congratulations.
Perfect, quality food and combinations, all the flavors can be perceived with that pinch of innovation that never hurts, they have a well-stocked wine cellar for all levels.
Truly worth a try, we will be back soon.

Not my first time, definitely not my last time - perfection at its best !!
Birthday for my Daughter at Christmas eve, she couldn't believe it tastes so good!
Service was impeccable, all dishes we ordered was above all expectations, The guanciale and and the onion dishes was truely out of this world !

Situé dans le merveilleux village de Montepulciano, le restaurant L'Altro Cantuccio revisite avec brio bon nombre de plats toscans typiques. Si la salle à manger, bien que typique, ne nous a guère enthousiasmé, il en va tout à fait autrement avec nos plats tous délicieux et pour certains présentés avec beaucoup d'originalité comme entre autres le dessert "Sottobosco". Carte des vins complète, service correct, bref un incontournable si vous êtes à Monteplulciano.
