L'Alter Bar In Milano

We had a wonderful aperitif, the bar has excellent cocktails, and the owners are super nice.

We've had a great time here in June 2025. Vibe is welcoming and authentic, quite bohemian, prices decent and with unexpectedly good tapas style snacks (on the house). Staff was very nice, quick and polite. We arrived before lunch hours so without a reservation. During lunch people come and go, it gets very busy. There appeared to be a lot of regular guests, which is telling of quality. Only minus is very small and old school toilet.

We came before 3pm and ordered some wine, the gentleman didn’t speak English but he understood when I gestured we wanted something to eat without knowing they weren’t serving food— the man made us a small pizza and this gesture just made the experience. I recommend.

We landed in Milan with an hour between our trains — L’Alter Bar was in the midst of their “reservations only” happy hour, and still found us a table, space to keep our luggage out of the way, then plenty food and drink to satisfy our travel needs. It was fun to experience the local business people enjoying the bar too. The staff helped us to feel relaxed while in the midst of a long travel day. The history, the food, atmosphere and service were so special. You’ve got to experience L’Alter Bar 🙌🏼🇮🇹🎶😉

The bar was awesome✨ Even I did a reservation on that day, staffs welcomed me in English and the aperitivo was the best experience I had in Milano. Food was great, drinks were nice...and seat outside was too good. Thank you for nice staffs and nice evening! Grazie!💗

SO delicious. Great drinks, great service and lovely free snacks with the drinks. As a group of 4, we had a great time! Would definitely recommend.

The cocktail was excellent (a Cynar Spritz), the aperitif wasn't particularly abundant but satisfying, the owners were very courteous, and the prices were in line with Milan, despite being right in the center.

Finalmente un bar come si deve. Voti da 1 a 10: 10’per il locale. Piccolo, accogliente e arredato con gusto, credo con un po’ di anni sulle spalle ma ben tenuto. Mi piace molto. Atmosfera gradevole. 8 per il cibo. Cornetto gradevole e cappuccino eseguito a regola d’arte. 10 per il servizio. Veloce e molto cordiale. La persona dietro al banco sa mettere a proprio agio il cliente. Adeguato rapporto qualità prezzo. Ci tornerei? Sì. Lo consiglierei? Sì.
