Great value for money with the apertifs. Very few tables so worth trying to book.

Aside from the fact that I had a delicious cappuccino (and it swished down before I could photograph it), I have to say this little place in the heart of Milan is delightful. Here, between trams, you'll meet the Milanese bauscia for breakfast, who discuss which socks to buy, then choose the €96 ones on Amazon, and then sigh, "...the wives of the past aren't here anymore" (the ones who probably thought about their socks!). In short, walking into this café is like walking into a story. A Milanese story. The owner is delightful, courteous, and welcoming. A real top score! (Corona Perer giornale sentire)

The Alter Bar serves drinks that make a difference (excellent products), accompanied, during aperitivo time, by platters of cured meats and cheeses from the Romagna region, piadinas, and various appetizers. It's worth noting that it's located in the center of Milan. We booked via Instagram and were treated wonderfully. Highly recommended, L'Espresso Martini.

L’alter Bar is fantastic! The team is so welcoming and friendly, and the owner makes you feel at home. The Limoncello Spritz was amazing — definitely coming back!
