Before our trip I spent considerable time reading reviews and recommendations for restaurants along the way. Enoteca L'Alchimista was "the" restaurant in Montefalco, and I completely agree. Some of the best food we had on our trip. Great helpful staff with wine recommendations too!
Try the Sagrantino, don't be afraid! It's excellent!

Beautiful location both inside and out for the beautiful square, exceptional appetizers, first courses and glasses of wine.
As appetizers I recommend the barbazza and the egg stracciata with black truffle as well as the cured meats.
As first courses the strangozzi with black truffle and the homemade tagliatelle with white beef ragù.
We were very well advised by the host on the choice of glasses of wine to accompany the meals.

I went to this beautiful place for lunch and in my opinion everything was wonderful, from the welcome, to the service, to the dessert.

Siamo stati con mia moglie lo scorso venerdì,siamo stati molto bene.Posto accogliente, molto carino dentro ,personale gentile e disponibile. Vasta scelta per i vini. OTTIME le materie prime ,sia per gli antipasti fino ai dolci !consigliato
