Always pleasant to have meals and/or something refreshing. The staff were friendly and helpful even in the slightly chaotic moments due to the notable influx of customers!! Ok for me!!

Beautiful place a few km from the city, it feels like being in Trentino. The lake is located at 1500 m. surrounded by mountains, a magical place that is worth a visit. The chairlift then makes it accessible and easy to reach from the refuge square

Lagdei is halfway between a refuge and a resort: beautiful and well-kept, inside and out. Many people pass by there to start excursions to reach the lakes, at various distances. The cuisine is amazing. All in all, easy to reach for those who, like us, live in Liguria. Will come back with friends!!

On a hot Sunday in August, very good at managing the enormous flow of customers and still maintaining quality. Well done!

Beautiful refuge, excellent restaurant

We went to this refuge for lunch. If you go on the weekend I highly recommend you reserve seats. They work two shifts (at lunch) from 12pm to 1.15pm and then resume with the next shift. While if they don't have seats, you can queue outside for takeaway and eat peacefully in the surrounding air, bringing a picnic blanket with you, as well as up from the holy lake. If you have children, there are few high chairs available. We ate very well, two appetizers and two polenta, the salami is good but finely cut, two platters were quite precise in four, we still had a little space. While the first and second courses are excellent and filling well. We tried the veal tip with potatoes and also the testaroli (very good and soft thick pasta, in triangles, a little maltagliated) with pesto which wasn't abundant but deserved it! The polenta with gorgonzola and sausage was excellent, very hot and the sausage really tasty! We also tried the desserts, the strudel was fabulous but I would serve it hot. The service is fast and friendly, even though the kids are young. A well organized place where you eat well. Parking is also convenient, obviously keep in mind that if you come later you might not find a place right away, so you will have to park further away.

Having only 3 days, my wife Giuliana and I wanted to spend these days in the fresh air with our medium to small sized dogs. I chose the Apennines since I know some people who share the passion for hiking, after several phone calls the Lagdei refuge was available and accept dogs. we start from Como and the first stop is the abandoned village of Braia, a hamlet of Pontremoli, passing through the Bratello pass. At the entrance to the village of Braia the silence is the first thing you notice, walking through the streets where they have cut the grass it is not so abandoned: many houses have certainly been transformed into holiday homes and have been restored maintaining their originality. we find a person who was working outside his home and with great interest, in addition to asking where we come from, he tells us what the country was like before immigration and various anecdotes. We continue the route with a stop in Pontremoli famous for testarolo: a delicious dish. We continue the journey and passing through the Cirone pass we arrive at Lagdei, we were amazed when we saw this place: it would be the envy of other places in Trentino! We are welcomed by the manager and given the room. After dinner we take a walk nearby where there are some signs describing the history and geography of the place: it was an ice and now it is a peat bog rich in flora and fauna. The next day we walk up to Lake Santo (there is a chair lift if desired). Arrived at the lake and I CONFIRM that this location is not only the envy of Trentino but also of Canada!! Here is the Mariotti refuge and even if we were organized for lunch we opted to stop for lunch. We take the path again, going around the lake and then returning, concluding with a circular tour, ending with dinner at the Lagdei refuge. Speaking with the manager, a person who is always available, he explains the history of this valley well and conveys the desire to return, which I have already written in my diary and I think of returning in autumn to admire its colours. Ottimo punto di appoggio per pranzare o per uno spuntino. Posti esterni ed interni, ottima accoglienza e disponibilità da parte di tutto lo staff. Menù con buona scelta di portate. Buoni i prezzi. Nessun problema con gruppi anche grandi.....basta avvisare prima!
