Very elegant restaurant. Very clean rooms. Friendly staff. Superlative food and an excellent wine list. The owner is constantly seeking out the best his region has to offer to satisfy even the most demanding palates. One visit isn't enough to try everything. Definitely recommended.

All this in an elegant and minimalist setting that, thanks to the perfect lighting and intimate atmosphere despite its spaciousness and airiness, immediately puts you at ease, thanks also to the professionalism and friendliness of the staff (Daniele is top notch!) and the attentiveness of the host. Excellent wine selection! In short, whether for lunch or dinner, L'Abbondanza Lucana is an experience to be enjoyed and savored. A very elegant and modern restaurant, the owner and staff are very kind, friendly, and helpful. My husband and I came in, and even though we were dressed casually, they welcomed us kindly. The food was good. The owner even let us try the caciocavallo cheese they used in one dish. I recommend this restaurant.

Yes, I highly recommend this excellent restaurant. We had a five-course meal, some of which we shared. The veal cheek was exceptionally tender and incredibly delicious. The waiter and chef were very friendly. The decor was elegant and very clean.

I'm from Matera, but I've been living abroad for about 10 years. I returned to my hometown and went to L'Abbondanza Lucana, expecting to have dinner. Instead, I had an experience: I loved losing myself in the ancient dishes of Lucanian culture, rediscovering the tastes and flavors of times gone by. And the beautiful thing is that I know those flavors, I'm used to them, I grew up with them. And yet, it was a true rediscovery, like seeing something from a new perspective, a different angle. Finding a new reason to love them. Heartfelt thanks to Francesco and his staff for reminding me how wonderful it is to be Lucanian! Highly recommended! P.S.: Tonight I tried the tasting menu because I wanted to try different flavors, and I did very well!
